Sony has confirmed that first-party PlayStation 5 games will retail up to $70 / £70, mimicking an industry-wide trend towards more expensive games on next-gen consoles.

Launch title Demon’s Souls, Destruction All Stars, Marvel’s Spider-Man: Mile Morales Ultimate Edition will each retail for $69.99/¥7,900/€79.99/£69.99.

The standard edition of Spider-Man, which does not include a remaster of the original game, will retail for $49.99/¥5,900/€59.99/£51.99, while family title Sackboy A Big Adventure will retail for $59.99/¥6,900/€69.99/£59.99.

Yup...to be fair we've had a fairly static period of game prices, this has been a long time coming if you ask me. Although I'm very very surprised to read that Destruction All Stars will be £69.99 I thought it looked like it may be a cheap or free to play game :p
static because they found other revenue streams to tack on, carve game into DLC etc.

Very true...but now with micro transactions etc waning to a certain extent with some potential gambling laws coming in etc for loot box purchases the games would always trend upwards.
not really because they have got 'battlepass' now and when that gets too much something else will take its place and so on....

825Gb is so small these days COD is like 200GB with a patch every month lol.

Good thing I dont play kids games like cod or fortnite.

I play one single player game at a time, no need to keep many games on disc at once so it's fine.

But if I need more space, I'll just go buy a 1TB Samsung 980 Pro PCIE4 Nvme drive and stick that in :)

I'll agree to disagree on that as 'battlepass' for a lot of free to play games makes business sense in a way. Plus the way some of them work, such as in Warzone and Apex Legends you can conceivably pay once and provided you finish the season and not pay for the next one and so on. Definitely a bit different and not the complete rip off that micro-transactions have basically been, especially those with a random/lottery element to it. Anyways totally off topic now :p

Pre ordered from Smyths after seeing Amazon Germany get stock for all of 5 minutes then say OOS. May have just put it up early accidently and then took it down but not taking any chances hehe. Don't know if Smyths take money, will have to check.
