NVIDIA ‘Ampere’ 8nm Graphics Cards

Where's all the fanboys worshiping Nvidia lol, Knew all along there'd be **** supply, why do you think pre orders didn't open up on announcement and why do you think all retailers were ass banged into not allowing a single retailer say how much stock they had, not to mention I still don't know a single person that managed to purchase one from the Nvidia store lol.

Let it be a lesson that the retailers are just as bad as Nvidia in all this, Luckily got my Zotac for 689 elsewhere and didn't get shafted during the fiasco of the websites crashing to their knees because of bots and the prices getting jacked up.

The next time a product is announced and they don't open pre orders straight away then stay well clear and save yourself the headache, It was a desperate attempt from Nvidia to gazump AMD instead if the unlucky people won't be getting any until the end of October then it's going to backfire so far up Nvidias ass they'd wished they started production earlier or didn't P*** TSMC off, Would have been decent supply.

Got my dpd delivery notification last night for today from overclockers, ughhh to much work today to fiddle with it lol

Oh yeah. 4k 120hz gsync 4:4:4 10bit HDR, no compromise and no subsampling - just more native 8 million HDR 10 bit pixels at blazing speeds and less than 1ms response time

Excellent. A big reason why one should go for a 3080 over a 2080Ti right there alone!

It's the duty of every intelligent and rational person to produce an intelligent and rational child to counterbalance the increasing levels of idiocy. Otherwise, it will only get worse. :p

A quick look at some of the questions that have been asked around this launch will tell you the battle has already been lost.

I bought a new 1000W PSU last week and am stuck with a 2080 for a month now. I don’t believe they ever had stock to begin with. This was a paper launch, plain and simple. I hope AMD is taking notes on how NOT to do a product launch.

I feel your pain, currently slumming it out with a RTX 2080.... Not even the super edition, looks like my 3080 preorder is ETA October the 9th... But I am working away from home at the moment... But my poor PC was promised a new GPU, I feel I have let my PC down...

I was all happy yesterday, phoned up OcUK and placed an order for the MSI card, was told I was in the first 10 so likely I would get allocated stock today. Got my confirmation mail so had to phone up and change my address as the post code was wrong and I’m now told thousands of orders and I’m not in the top 10 -.-

Doesn't make sense though since you had the order in, why did they mess up like that?

The guy on the phone today said that internet orders were still downloading when I placed the order yesterday because the site was down for 2 hours? I literally have no idea how that works but I can’t do anything, sadly :(

I’m more inclined to think Nvidia are worried about Big Navi than pumping stocks to buy ARM.

On the fence about cancelling my pre-order and waiting for Big Navi but then again we don’t know if the stock and sales process will be any better for AMD.
I am not sure about that I would have thought they would know when Amd will bring out their cards as some partner's are with Nvidia as well and would give them the information when they get the spec's of the cards, so they would know the ball park of when Amd will launch their cards.

They want the paper launch as it makes a lot of hype and frenzy, yes some people will get ****** but even if they miss this launch or wait for Amd, most people will go back to Nvidia anyway and they know this as this has happened many times over the years.
