I was all happy yesterday, phoned up OcUK and placed an order for the MSI card, was told I was in the first 10 so likely I would get allocated stock today. Got my confirmation mail so had to phone up and change my address as the post code was wrong and I’m now told thousands of orders and I’m not in the top 10 -.-

Which msi did you go for out of interest ? I got the Ventus and it’s now saying order “received - not yet shipped” I’m guessing I managed to get it pretty early though as I got it before the price went up for £650

Excellent. A big reason why one should go for a 3080 over a 2080Ti right there alone!

Its the main reason I'm getting a 3090, sure it may be a bit faster than the 2080ti but that HDMI 2.1 is what I really want

With this drama and the price gouging, it's making the 3090 price more attractive. But while there's probably less demand, there's also likely fewer cards.

Exactly. 10GB marginally not enough. 20GB massively overkill. Unless it was a Ti version which was slightly tuned up...but then they start to make the 3090 less attractive...

yeah it will be carnage unless they do some sort of pre registration on the forum type thing the day before to let some of us bag a card before the bots.

this. I can't understand why they don't do this, and link it to an active forum account with 500+ posts so you can only get one item only, (ie to prevent non-legit people opening multiple accounts to try and snag loads for ebay purposes)
