No surprise at all. Even on paper it could only possibly be ~20% faster, and paper specs never translate to real world performance. I'd guess there'll be some outliers and benchmarks where it'll hit closer to that 20%, but 10-15% across the vast majority of titles seems right.

Yeah I thought must be the tv, it's only 2018 model. Although this tv does take 4k hd4 444 10 bit signal via a blueray player so thought it would work with new cards.
I'm happy at 422 10 bit HDR anyway it would have been nice to see if 444 looks any better.
And it's out of stock now.
Yeah i noticed it changes frequently, I'm back on the PC now so i'll see if i can add it to my basket the next time it pops up.It appears and disappears intermittently yet never works, they must have their "leadership AI" on the case.
Yeah, it probably changes from In stock to out of stock quite regularly, suppose if people are cancelling their orders it'll show as in stock.
I ordered a ZOTAC trinity 3080 from one of the largest companies in the world .. zotac have tweeted that they had 20000 orders and they will try and fulfill all of them and it can take upto one month. Wow.
Mine is still showing as to be delivered by Tuesday but I very much doubt this!

It's basically a compute card then. The 8k performance is likely the capacity to hold 8k-appropriate textures, coupled with DLSS.
But for AI models it's going to be pretty epic, if that's your thing.

Thats a major bottleneck if true.. Zotac might end up clogging chip supplies to other AIBs as well. But thankfully, they are just a division of a much larger contract manufacturer..still I would brace for the worst.

If it's honoured within the month, I can live with that, tbh.
I was asking where I can get staff discount about the 3080 (not a major supplier but do some PC parts) - they can't get any until the 28th of October currently (that could change).
Yeah they only had 80 units of the gaming X trio on launch. I wish there was a micro center in the UK
