This stuff and curre t pricing of GPUs makes me my PC gaming days are over after years and years of constantly upgrading - I haven't moved since my 290 and now makes me think just not worth it

Xbox Series X plus Gamepass for me I'm feeling

ASU’s strix 3080
Order number 586105*
Time 14:37 I’m I in a good position in the queue?

Many thanks

So you're within the first 1000 ish orders and the Asus Strix isn't as popular as other cards (Probably because its price was so much higher) so there is a good chance that you are indeed in a good position BUT heres the bad news. There is no ETA when they will even get in the Asus Strix and no numbers, Asus have said they are expecting to get the strix in the US on the 28th September but nothing about the UK, no quantities mentioned either for US.

So I'm in the US, ordered my card at 22:24 on the 17th, which was an EVGA XC3 Ultra Gaming, and never got a confirmation email but was charged.

Order number is 4032836 according to the website.

I'm not familiar with the UK's stock of EVGA cards, but do you think I should keep this order?

I believe it was mentioned in the main forum posts from Gibbo that Strix cards are coming in later this week

@SkinSpotlights Gibbo said this in the top Forum thread "Speaking to board partners, September shipments shall be small, so far:
- Today a small batch of MSI arrived, all orders have shipped out.
- More Asus TUF are due early next week and then later next week some TUF OC and Strix OC"

on the calculator it doesnt distinguish between the gigaybte oc and non oc gaming, you could further split it down for some of the others also

That's not the order number, it begins 586.... it will be on an email not the website.

For EVGA you will almost certainly be able to obtain an EVGA card in the USA long before there is stock in the UK.

Historically EVGA have had a habit of prioriting US orders well before UK/EU orders, and this time from what has been said they aren't even communicating on dates with the UK suppliers, so it might be better to see if you can get a more local order lined up and then cancel here (though obviously this is speculation and I might be wrong).

In terms of data science, I know a good bit to tell you this 'list' is not going to give you a good indicator on who is first, unless you simply use the timestamp on order, which I think is more than likely the case if 'first come, first serve' is used.
I like many other people really want to get my hands on an RTX3080. The thought of waiting drives me nuts, but this is a sad reality for popular technological releases, whatever it may be. You either: A: Chance it, get a refund and wait for that random re-stock on some website you've never used before which works out or it doesn't and you lose your place in the queue, or B: You bide your time until they re-stock. Unless you want to torture yourself with queue positions, it's best you check in every once in a while, and wait for OC to update everyone, otherwise we will speculate ourselves into insanity, lol.
