rtx2080 is somewhat more efficient and faster on an older node, so yeah, RDNA has room to grow.

That's a lovely internet picture but I can tell you now, right at this moment in time and over 4 hours of gaming in warzone, MY 5700XT maxed at 192W running a constant overclock at 2164mhz core (2200mhz set) and 1900mhz memory... so, that bar chart is not what I'm seeing either through GPUZ OR more importantly my actual power supply monitor on the wall. Hey how, we shall differ here.

Standard it's WAYYY lower... and is around 42% slower than a 2080TI based on same site in performance terms... so, no, I don't believe it's inefficient in the slightest for the juice it sucks.

That leak looks promising ... while I don't think I'll be drawn to AMDs stuff unless they're crazy cheap+powerful or also have the other bits like DLSS (and maybe something that'll use DirectStorage)... hoooopefully the larger VRAM numbers might make nVidia release stuff like the 16GB 3070 (super?) earlier on...

2200Mhz @ 2164Mhz and 1900Mhz vram???
Are you using a moddeed bios or power modded regedit?

Neither that's what it runs at since the day I got it, I'm running water so it's cool, but nope, I just maxed the settings at 2200mhz/1900mhz and off she goes. The maximum boost it records I've seen in GPUZ is 2164mhz, it never goes any higher no matter what I do... but it's stable enough to run war zone for 4 hours in a session on Saturday evening... and folding... Max Junction Temps in a 21C room is 78C I think it was, I've seen over the last few days but I reset GPUZ this evening so can't double check.

My old 5700XT wasn't as good as this one, it wouldn't clock the core above 2146mhz, so was I think if ememory serves around the 2080mhz on boost give or take... with the memory at 1900mhz as well.

So the rumour mill has went from "big navi might be between 3070 and 3080 performance" to big navi will go head to head with 3090...I'm sure between now and the reveal they will have backtracked on that then reconfirmed it several more times at least.

What software are you using to OC with?

it's been swinging al over the place

as it turns out AMD hasn't even set the final specs of the card so all leaks are pure BS

I used to run afterburner but now I just use the AMD software as it does everything I require. That's running 1,156mv... even if I up this to 1,200mv makes no odds, ccard won't boost any higher so then I just started removing power going for stability until i hit that sweet spot. The mental thing is, if I literally go to 1,155mv the card hangs in OCCT tests and 3DMark etc... I mean hwo mad is that, 1mv is the difference between stable and unstable lol...

They'll be renaming it "Fury Blast Vega Edition VIII" soon lol. One things for sure, with nVidia all over the shop and I think shooting themselves in the foot recently if truth be told... rushing to get a card out before the AMD Train pulls in... they're gonna p*ss a lot of people off with the "now buy our 3080 20gb edition because it's faster than our 3080 10gb edition but we had to wait for AMD to play their card" mentality will ultimatley cheese a lot of nVidia buyers off... very odd move imho the 10gb on a card promoted to run 4k and ray tracing... very very odd...

That Coreteks guy was the leaker who claimed Big Navi's performance being around the 3070. We've yet to see but that's a doubtful claim, I suspect the same leaker feeding him was pulling his pudding about this too.
You mean the same guy who said the 3080 would have a co-processor on the board?
:D

Now I would have thought that when he caught himself being wrong the 1st time he would re-evaluate his "sources" take a seat and think twice before posting more "rumors". If, and I mean a BIG IF, he was told that a top end RDNA 2, Big Navi, was just as fast as a 3070 something should have clicked, in his thought processes. And, he should have filed it away until he can actually verify that the information was valid. <---Most important part here as he can't validate that the information is true.

However, lets look at what he does do. He doubles down on those same "sources" and now claims thata 6900xt is no faster then a 3070 or there abouts. Claiming that he's getting a "card" when it was rumored that AMD hasn't released those skus to AIBs. All with in 'hours' of being wrong about the co-processor. Now I don't know about you. But I find it highly suspect of his "sources". As it starting to look like he's just making it up.

But with any of this we will see once AMD release their skus.

A couple of the leakers were spot on. The rest either jumped on the same sources as them or got it completely wrong. Its where the must get viewers shill + clickbait are weeded out for what they are.

Its nothing that new it has been what a few optimists on here were secretly praying for using the back of fag packet calculations! :)
