NVIDIA ‘Ampere’ 8nm Graphics Cards

Almost guaranteed to be a terrible value proposition I guess if they're trying to mask the performance of what someone is buying before they buy it - guess the plan is clear, order it, watch reviews, cancel order :)

You mean refresh page, see Notify Me go to Out of Stock, and watch reviews.

Was demand so high because the 2000 series was such a poor value/performance proposition that the vast majority of Nvidia gamers skipped it?

Would need to look at figures but I don't think 2 series sales were that poor overall. The 2070S seemed quite popular.
Demand is high as gaming has taken off over the last 6 months with people having not much else to do. People haven't been spending a great deal on anything either so they've got the cash there.

Seen the articles and post. Mostly it's coming from someone on reddit who initially started saying it was subsampling down to 442. Another user stated that he believes the user is not enabling hdmi ultra deep color after connecting and that others having similar issues with 1440p at 120hz solved it by enabling it (rightfully so).

I have no doubt any issues will be sorted via firmware and drivers.

There is a bit more to it than that.

Basically anyone who tries gsync at 4k 120hz on a OLED with a 3080 is getting a black screen.

Apparently LG have already issued a statement, which is good news.

HDTV test done a video on the OLED + 3080.

To be fair they dont need to launch reviews before hand,. Ocuk only has 6 3090s across all the manufacturers and they will sell out within seconds anyway.

Everybody else can wait for reviews.

Realistically at least 6 chaps will be at OcUK physically to buy at 2pm, so likely none left for online sales I imagine.

The RRP and free game offer all seems a bit scamy on these cards.

I see anyone who orders now, not even a week after launch gets no game and paying above RRP.

Unless you buy Asus. Asus lets your redeem the freebies online by entering your card serial number.

Wow didn't know that.

Asus have done really well this launch, the tuff is one of the few cards that actually sells at RRP and is one of the best coolers and isn't restricted on power limit plus has 2 hdmi's.

I'm very happy with my Palit 3080 it has been amazing but if I had gone for the tuff I would have saved £40 and had an extra hdmi and an extra year warranty.

So overall Asus selling the best value card. Who would have thought it. No Asus tax.
