AIO fan/ general fan advise after new GPU install

I think due to my case being a small one, and my ram size, an AIO won't fit. I will probably upgrade to a better air cooler for the CPU, but after watching some videos / reading reviews, the better ones don't offer that much advantage over mine, however it is still an upgrade so I will defo consider it. My main concern is how I am going to re arrange the fans, as if the actual temperature in the case is hot itself, I doubt the CPU cooler will be my problem.

Basically, I am going to move the middle fan to the front top, and monitor my temperatures, I wanted to buy an extra fan as an additional exhaust but I think putting both and exhaust at the top rear, along with the newly placed top front intake may conflict each other, so I might not put the exhaust in, and just simply move the middle fan to the top front alone.

(I am even confusing myself at this point, I think a simple diagram would help everyone out here haha)

But thanks for still sticking with me @mickyflinn - I am very thankful that you are helping me out here.

Maybe this can help - don't judge my art skills, :)

If this is going to be a poor idea, then just be honest and I'll consider a new case :(

I am thinking setup 2 might be worse than 1, because the additional exhaust may be just counterproductive, taking out the fresh air from the intake right next to it, so perhaps just leave it out and go for setup 1

You are mistaken if you think that a decent air cooler wont make much difference compared to the stock cooler.
.
Just reading some reviews of your cant fit a 240mm aio water cooler at the top of that case it only fits In the front . Which isn't an option due to the 3080.

When there reviewing a case they never seem to have a stock cooler installed, ask yourself why ?

As for fan position just move the middle fan to the top rear add another fan if you want but you can do that anytime.

100% this.

Why I said in my post just getting an aftermarket cooler alone will almost certainly sort the issue.

Any benchmark I've ever seen even the more basic of air coolers are like twice as good as the stock one.

Fair enough guys, thank you.

I will purchase a better CPU cooler.

I have rearranged the fans, and can perhaps get a slim one to go into the middle slot, which should fix my problem now. thanks a lot for all your help.

(Or do you mean that having both an intake and a exhaust at the top would be counterproductive, and that I should just have the one exhaust as is currently? and just move the middle fan to the top front
Air blown by fan is pretty directional/focused and wants to keep going to that direction for some distance. (unless hitting physical obstacle)
While airflow sucked in by fans is very unfocused.
So exhaust fan next to intake wouldn't draw intake's airflow out easily assuming similar RPMs.
Also with three intakes and two exhausts there would be "positive" pressure inside case and easily available air looking for way out from the case.

But adding top rear exhaust fan is the most important part, if there isn't plenty of intake airflow/positive pressure to force airflow through case.
That removes the warmest air above graphics card and near CPU from the case, which in turn makes cooler air from elsewhere move to its place.

Slim fans have lot lower airflow/pressure than normal 25mm thick fans.
But that would be still certainly better than no fan in that position.

After that £21 Arctic Freezer 34 Alpenfohn Brocken Eco woudl be little heavier, but price rises quite much

But price rises quite much for that small difference.
And while again another small step heavier, Cryorig H7 has only three heatpipes

Really Scythe Mugen 5 is the cheapest notably better one in stock and fitting into 160mm cooler height limit.

Very interesting to know, thank you,

This is my current setup, which I did today - I have a spare fan, did not install it, but based on what you said I might install it now.

Apart from that, will give one of those CPU coolers a go and im happy. thanks once again.

I don't think you want another intake on the top, that would interfere with the general flow of air through the case, I would have thought.

I didn't read the rest of the posts so forgive me if I am out of date here...!

Sure remove the middle fan. I doubt it will make a lot of difference. I don't think you need an AIO. If you are using the stock cooler though, it may be an idea to get a slightly better cooler, even a budget like a evo 212 would make a lot of difference.

Gamer m8, u have a good setup as of now.
Add a good cpu cooler , it will come with extra fan to keep airflow in a good direction and u will see your cpu will go to 35 idle and low 60 while gaming.
