Be as conservative as you want :p those of us not obsessed with worshipping the Leather Jacket know what the numbers could mean ;)

Its a bit of fun for me that's all, i wish people wouldn't take it so seriously we all know when AMD eventually reveal what they actually have none of us are going to be anywhere near.

We only have rumours for the difference between 6X00 SKUs. I am basing numbers on current AMD performance difference between current SKUs as a baseline.

5600XT to 5700 to 5700XT shows up to ~15% at best between each SKU at both 4K and 1440p. If 6X00 surpasses those differences that would be great.

What I find telling is the number of people who I know that are in to GPUs. Not a single one of them said the Nvidia hype and launch was anything other than a joke. Not one sees this as Nvidia just not able to cope with demand, they see it as extremely limited stock. This reeks of desperations from Nvidia. Don;t get me wrong, the 3080 cards are seen as a great price/perf but that is only when compared against the vastly overpriced 2080Ti. The door is left open for AMD to really make a difference.

Yeah, they are all the same Navi 10 GPU, AMD pulled 3 SKU's out of the one GPU they currently make.

Come on guys balls out the barracks... 6900XT >= 3080 and 6950XT 20GB >= 3090 beater... isn't that what we wanna see in this releaase? PPOOWAAOOOOR NAVI REIGNS SUPREME

Yes there's nothing else that can be done. Ordinary folks will not be anyhow getting their shiny new graphic cards till November, so as well ride the Navi hype. You got to sometimes wonder how great our lives could have been if a close relative or friend was a graphic card distributor.

I do want to see AMD beat Nvidia, because Nvidia are too big, too dominant, too smug.

Did you notice how the large reviewers all bought into Nvidia's quite obviously exaggerated marketing, JayZ2Cents even had the cheek to say "Nvidia never exaggerate, not like AMD do" and have any of them pulled Nvidia up for it? No, its as if it never happened.

There is a clear and obvious double standard and i want to see every single one of these people either replace their benching Rigs with AMD GPU's or have to come up all sorts of ridiculous mental gymnastics to reason why not, like a Monty Python sketch.

I think Linus did pull them up on the 2x performance boast then basically said it was acceptable as it's "the usual advertising" hahaha... mmmmm... yeah I'm not convinced that would've been the same response if that was AMD, they'd have been torn apart tbh. We know that but hey who cares Navi will rock, I'll be buying one if it's priced rigth and performance is good so all good in love and war.

There does seem to be double-standards, hopefully this time AMD's keeping quiet until ready to blow our socks off will prove to be the right thing.

Thats why I like "not an apple fan", he lets ALL of the gpu manufacturers have it with both barrels if they screw around and he quite funny as well.

I think AMD could beat Nvidia but AMD are their own worst enemy, they don't like making large GPU's, this is legacy from the ATI days.

Large GPU's are high risk, i wish AMD would see slide topping GPU's that they might not sell not as a risk but as an investment, its no different to investing in advertising and there is no greater advert than your GPU's topping the performance slides.

If you want me to stop being conservative i'll just come right out and say what the numbers suggest. The 6900XT is easily an RTX 3090 killer.

There, i said it :p

I'm not saying this is what we will see, we are all just speculating on rumours here. Its what this thread is for.
I'll jump on that hype train with you! I just hope it brings both compute and rendering performance alongside gaming.
