Ah, that's because they are the only store with stock in the UK...![]()
You’re right, at the end of the day a 3080 is still a 3080 and it’s going to perform like one. Unless you’re crazy into overclocking or something you won’t tell the differenceMaybe Zotac is too expensive for one "low end" 3080 but it's hilarious. If you ignore the price, the performance difference is literally 2-3 fps in most games in favor of the base 3080. It's still a powerful card.
Another new 3080 listed, the Gigabyte Vision OC.
I’d love this for my white themed PC build, but can’t justify £800 when I’ve got the Eagle at £649 hopefully coming soon...

Are you sure you didn’t incorrectly enter your number?
I’ve gone through the programme around 5 or 6 times at this point to see how consistent it is, I started off around 1240~ and today it says I’m 1142 so it’s what I’d say is within error margins.....![]()
All of these cards are monsters. I feel that the main concern comes from customers feeling that they want the full performance for the part they paid for.
I mean you cant argue with that.
Strix OC - for some reason I had it in my head that it wouldn't be so popular early on, but I look to be incorrect based on the logs we have. Then again, enthusiastic folk are the ones checking in here, perhaps?Eagle or Gaming?

I know the feeling buddy. It's certainly not good.I just feel there's a glass ceiling already in place with the Zotac. So knowing I can't really tinker with it and OC to gain better performance stings a bit.
This is all true, but the higher end cards yield more profit, and they will want to get them out as soon as possible. The limiting factor is binning the more capable chips, hence why there is more stock of base model cards available. If only 20% of chips make the cut for the "OC edition", and manufacturer does production runs of 1000 for example, they need 1000 high binned chips to start that run...Doubt it works that well. The vendors are backed up, the higher end cards will be delayed more than the common folk cards, they sell more.
Looking at the numbers I’m now glad I mistakenly ordered the Strix non OC instead of the OC one. I’m only 120 in the queue for mine instead of 300 or so for the OC one.
