Strix OC - for some reason I had it in my head that it wouldn't be so popular early on, but I look to be incorrect based on the logs we have. Then again, enthusiastic folk are the ones checking in here, perhaps?

If you go to the 3080 product page it displays them all in order of popularity The Strix is either 6th or 9th most popular depending on which one you ordered.

Why is there all this talk of bottlenecks? Did everyone rush out and buy 1080p 240Hz monitors all of a sudden?

people just want the latest ;)

its like the smartphone reviewers, on the new launched models they rave on about how good they are, then when the next model comes out they suddenly talking about all sorts of flaws with the previous products, its as if flaws are only allowed to exist when there is a newer product.

Thing that gets me is the annountment from Nvida that Gibo linked to. In it the said there was stock for 50 Supplier

That should be fine. I too have a 9700K @5GHZ with a 2080RTX with 64GB of ram (3080 on order) I Fly MSFS in 4k and have her dialed in now where i am mostly at high settings with the FPS locked @ 30fps i have no issues at all. Can happily fly around New York airports in the Airbus and she is pretty solid at 30fps with the odd frame drop every so often. If i unlock the 30fps frame rate i can take-off and land at LAX with around 30-35 fps in the airbus and once up in the air she sits around 45 fps. The 3080 is perfect for 4k gaming and even though some are only getting an extra 5-10fps in MSFS that is all you need to make a huge differnece in the sim.

Thats good to know mate im runing 32GB plus have FS2020 on a good SSD

Not gonna lie the performance issue that makes it below par to FE really bothers me. It needs overclocking just to match it. It's my first Zotac purchase (previous was an MSI gaming trio 2080ti) and I was drawn to the 5 year warranty, plus have heard great things about their previous 1080, 2080 cards.
I do wish and paid a bit more and I went with any of the EVGA cards instead.

Been running a Zotac 2070 while waiting for the 3080 and its been an amazing card for the last 9 months, built well, clocks well runs super cool, doesnt have flashy RGB but then it was cheap as f'k so as my stand in card very happy.

What's everyone's thoughts on inno3d? Are they really that bad? That 4th fan design on the x4 has really caught my attention.
Really what bad? They are very popular in the far East and India, not so well known here, but they have a European office in Holland. The latest cards look to be on a par with any of the other manufacturers, problem is that they haven't shipped any stock as yet,and although there are reviews, they are in Home Market languages such as Hindi or Thai.

It will be loads of pages till stock arrives but hey there is not much left to do while waiting :). There is plenty of time till end of November and looking at between 1500 to 2000 pages :)
