I predict an outbreak of Chronic insomnia as peeps check the Nvidia website
at all hours...
Meanwhile we should start `pre-sympathising` with those who will miss out on the 3090 today

Annoyingly the Nvidia website here in the Middle East wont even sell the FE and now one local retailer has posted videos of eagles landing here but they haven't said for how much or when they will go on sale..

Why? They launched already for pre order with expected dates of November. Yes there is demand but they never pretended they were ready to be shipped out. Every knows it will be tough to get one before the new year.

I mean there is going to be a lot of complaining when they do come out from people who didn't get their hands on one. It's bound to happen but hopefully they can do better than this launch with Nvidia.
 
So wake up at 530am for work, first thing I think to try Nvidia site, could be a change in stock... Then think no not playing this game any more. Half an hour later ready for work with a few minutes to spare. Go to Nvidia.. Huh.. No out of stock, click buying options, BUY IT NOW! WTF.. Click the button enter name address etc. Shows my basket: 3080, Watch Dogs: Legion, year of GeForce now, run downstairs get card, enter details.... tick tick tick.....

"We're sorry but NVIDIA GEFORCE RTX 3080 is currently out of stock. Please return to the Shopping Basket and remove the product to complete your order. We apologise for any inconvenience."

Late for work...

Now I'm wondering if I had just tried at 530 when I woke up...

Guess I'll have to wait for Overclockers to process my 10:01pm last Thursday order for the Ventus..

LOL, I guess it makes sense to restock at 5 am on the UK shop, that way a few people get their hands on them and there weren't many awake to complain about missing out.
 
Just decided to cancel my order and stick with my 2070 Super.I It'snot failing me in any games and will probably upgrade my monitor now.

I'll wait for all this fiasco to calm down, by then the Supers/6x00s will be out and stock levels should be plentiful.
 
I was thinking of buying the evga 2070 super and then doing the step uk to 3080 ftw3, I can wait for stock but currently using a borrowed 1650 in my new 10850 build. Is the 90 days time to initiate step up or to compete the trade? So if there was no stock of the 3080 by the time 90 days was up would I be stuck with the 2070? Or is it as long as I join the queue then I’m good?

If the latter I might just do that as I then get to enjoy rtx and better performance until stock normalises. I’ve got two pre-order in, a ventus which is getting poor reviews and I’ve paid a premium with retailer starting with C, despite being 35th in the queue, and a gigabyte vision from here ordered morning after release.

Ventus I’m told could be October could be November but the premium price for what will be seen as a low tier card is annoying me, and the gigabyte vision is anyone’s guess
