Yea if price didn't increase the TUF would definitely be worth the wait rather than the FE because better cooling and performance but with whats happening the Founders Edition feels like a nice choice.
I'm curious if the cards that are failing for AIB is bad gpu, bad memory or just bad power delivery.

Edit: thinking about it, Buildzoid when he did some PCB breakdowns said that the vdrop for the vram could actually cause issues and I wonder if thats whats happening with a few of them because the vram is error correcting memory so wonder if its just really bad power delivery to those chips causing the hitching/stuttering issues.

Black screen/crashes that has to be gpu clock and fixed with a underclock.
There is a good chance that people are still using single cable with dual 8 pin connectors even after people have been advised to use 2 cables so its not drawing enough efficiently from the psu but thats just my 2p's worth

Anyone going to pick up one of the two 3090 they have in stock and maybe cancel the 3080 order? :D

its ok though. nvidias already got an apology out for the poor 3090 launch before it actually happens, talk about being optimistic and having very little stock at all. if we all thought the 3080 was a paper launch god knows what we would class the 3090 as, maybe a rizzla launch ?

Nah, it's definitely a clock issue from the stuff I've been reading.. People have tested with 1200w power supplies with separate cables for each connection and still got issues, but once they apply a -50Mhz underclock the problem goes away. Seems the issue is not being helped by a really poor Game Ready driver from Nvidia too (people are saying the Studio drivers are better currently, though they only lessen the crashes and only the undervolt fixes them)

On the upside, with how long it's going to take most of us on here to get a card, it should be sorted by then :p

LMAO! Rizzla launch , needed that thanks.

Don't want to cause any concern and it might not even be relevant for us but the unnamed retailer who put up their stock schedule just completely removed MSI from the list...

I'm waiting for a Ventus so it's a little concerning but I'm just telling myself the reason they're not getting any is because OC is getting it all lol

I used to work in a banks fraud team. These notes are helpful for manual review but 99.9% of this is automated and they don’t read manual notes before blocking , it’s an instant decision. You get a LOT of complaints around big launches with people calling to say i told you I’d be making this purchase, or I told you I’d be going on holiday to this country etc. Countries can at least have a travel flag applied. Not fun to work on phones during iphone launches etc.
I remember quite some years ago. My bank had an option on the internet banking to say which country you were visiting to cut down the automated fraud systems. I visited Namibia, put all the details into the system. Went to an ATM once there and instantly declined.. 10 minutes later I get a call. The guy says "You should have told us you were going to Namibia", I said I did... "Oh, yeah... OK it's all good now".

Automated systems also are weird and unpredictable. Spend 10k on a car on the card for the first time ever? Sure we won't even manually approve it, just take the money. Spend £50 at a retailer you've used regularly for over a decade? Yeah, we're going to decline that. Yes, this really happened. I mean, I'm sure there was some really good logic going on there to do that. But, I can't fathom it.

I just noticed that. I wasn't sure if I had just imagined MSI being on the list last night... Maybe it doesn't mean anything just like almost every other bit of 'information' we have

Just reading about that now, RIP I bet our GPU's are in that brexit queue to get out the port LOL

We should start a government petition to include an import rules exemption for GPUs in their brexit deal, you know get them to sort the most important stuff first lol

They was already a disaster for the UK on 2 retailers had the Xbox All Access available and both their sites we're offline from 8am - 5pm HAHA

I must have been lucky then... got my All Access order in with the one that sounds like lame fairly easily at about 8.05am. Did notice the other site was on its knees though!
