My order went through on the second attempt at 06:04. It was still showing as in stock for 3-4 minutes after that. They have remove PayPal checkout for 30x0 cards. I guess as an anti-bot measure. But most CC will decline an order of this value made to an overseas tech retailer at such a weird time.So was stock still available around 6-7am or are people up all night clicking refresh?
Might try and get a 3090 so I can sell it for 100 grand lol,

Btw in case anyone was wondering, yesterday I seen someone say they cancelled their order and brought a build system , as he said they were using build stock to get them type of orders out, I asked the question to the pre sales team and they said currently they dont even have build stock for the 3080s,

From the wording of the emails a few folks have received from nVidia, it looks like zero cards will be available from their own shop at 2pm.
Really taking the **** with prices now when charging almost £200 more than anyone else for the same card including other 3090 models. Disgusting.

I'm starting to wonder if i even need a 3080 tbh, i'd be quite happy with a 2080ti clocked to around the 3080 speeds. I'm running 1440p ultrawide which my 2080 use to struggle on abit. With the 2080ti being as cheap as it is now... it's quite tempting.
not sure exchange rates differ that much. Has someone shot Trump? That would possibly cause that kind of hike. its certainly made my mind up. I’m not dropping nearly £2k on a card that only makes 10-15% difference over a 3080
I've seen a few for around £600 local to me with a block attached, its very very tempting!
Just wait until October 2021 when you can finally get your hands on a 3070.
I came to that conclusion too. I'll see if these MCM rumours are true and if Intel can get anything out in a reasonable timeframe.
