Not sure im even going to bother buying a game for this on 10th November. Might just play gamepass stuff :p

Might find it hard to resist Cyberpunk though....hipefully sainsburys will do a nectar double up so i can pick that up free.

Im not sure I can resist AC and Cyberpunk, but I’ll get everything else off Gamepass.

Whoa. Expandable storage is gonna be expensive.

Especially for S owners with only 512GB on-board. By the time you buy this, you may aswell get an X.

It’ll soon come down in price.

Yeh, that was the main thing that put me off the S. Realistically you are going to be able to fit about 5 or 6 next gens on there.

I think so but not for Series S/X titles ?

Wonder what about enhanced for titles ?

Sona game gets updated to be enchanted for Series S can that be run from a Usb HdD ?

Wonder what about all the BC and Xbox One games if they've been patched to be ehanced for Series S/X ?

If a previous gen game is patched, then it becomes an Xbox Series game and will presumably need the SSD.
If it's just resolution/fps boosted by the emulator then it should still play off a USB HDD.

Still be not far off s price of an X though

To me the X seems so much better value

I'm going to wait until closer to release but it does look that way. I've returned the One X and might cancel the Series S pre-order and pick up a Series X next year, can still use gamepass on pc / cloud and I have plenty of PS4 games to get through. If there was a big launch title coming out with it then I'd be a bit more excited but it looks like we'll be waiting a while for anything to really push the hardware.

However if you get the S and the storage you will have 1.5Gb storage which is more than just getting the X lol.

I still think the S is great value for what you get.
It depends on how much smaller series S games are - the suggestion is 40% smaller, so it might not be as big an issue as many think.........personally, I don't think either version has enough, or PS5 for that matter too!

You'd think it would be a real squeeze as the years go by, I expect they'll offer a larger external SSD eventually. Games don't seem to be getting any smaller.

Do you have to go to either a Smyths or Game to apply for xbox all access, as I can't seem to get anywhere with it, or is it just because of the lack of stock?

Game aren't taking all access orders online just now. You need to go to store.

Smyths have sold out of Series X on all access and only have the Series S still available on all access.

Would a external portable ssd still allow features? Or will it need to be the Xbox expansion slot only?
Expansion port only for Series S/X games. External ssd would let you play xbox/xbox360/X1 games or store Series games but they would need to be moved to the internal drive or expansion in order to play.

Im just going to use an existing external SSD connected via USB and transfer games onto internal when I want to play them. Seems like that's the best way to go, I'd be interested in the Seagate expansion card for around £150 but im not paying any more than that.
