When are the RTX 3090 reviews out

Worse thing IMO is the lack of supply of price fixed FE's initially, even if they were to creep up after a few weeks (as the 2080 Super did). Big disappointment.
AIB's I don't care for, as usual, more open to the forces of supply/demand and market freedoms

Yeah forgot about the FE and that looks especially at the original price a really good card. Shame NV didn't want to sell any, the FE was the bait in the old bait and switch.

Honestly, going by reviews it's a cool and quiet running gpu, that's about all that can be said positive about it. And even then going by the massive slab of metal slapped onto it that's really not that surprising.

Look at the difference between the founders 3080 and the aftermarket ones, then tell me where they will find 20% let alone 30-40% on a 3090? The 3090 FE has a cooler the size of a small country on it, I can't see aftermarket doing much better.

It's funny how TDP mattered when AMD were having issues but now Nvidia are and it doesn't matter at all now.

I do not care what AMD do/do not do and did not mention them, you keep moving the goalposts.

My free advise, do not buy a 3090 (I am not)...

Wow, what a lemon for gaming this card is. Great and honest review, so glad I managed some self restraint (helped by bots snapping everything up).

As he said at the end this is AMD’s golden opportunity, don’t screw it up.

I wouldn't say that. The card is great, infact the best currently available.

The price however is Nvidia at its finest! But people paid similar for a 2080ti back in the day.

AIB's I don't care for because as is the case they're more open to the forces of supply/demand and market freedoms of third party retailers
Moore's Law Is Dead posted a video a week before the 3080's launch saying that Nvidia never planned to sell many of the FEs because the cooler is way too expensive to make for a card sitting at MSRP. Obviously that's not anything official, but everything he claimed about the launch came to pass. It seems like more of a marketing gimmick to advertise the product than a genuine alternative to the more expensive custom cards.

I never said you did care. It's just strange how things change. What you do is completely up to you mate, not here to change anyone's mind. I don't expect much improvement from the aftermarket cards though.

Yep. Hence why they are calling the 3080 the flagship. AMD have a real chance now, get the popcorn ready :)
Yep. I hope they take the crown and finally get some market share. I want to see a healthy balance so we the customers benefit.

Also would love to see Jensen squirm a bit :D

Cheeky bugger about 8K gaming... Lol.

3080 owners/ pre-orderers.... who were also considering a 3090 be like...

Reported in loads of places. Both Gigabyte and Asus announced their MSRP for the aurous and strix cards was $1799. $1799 doesnt equate to the orginal placeholder prices of £1569 that they had in the UK/

no it = to £1,412 and overclockers uped the price to £1700.

I know it is a halo card but.....that price for only 15-20% more performance than a 3080.

Wow.

7% on average at 1440p and 10% at 4K going by Hardware Unboxed figures. So half of what you and I think would be poor value.

Buy it for work but 3080 for gaming.

Which dropped to £900 eventually. It shows the profit margin Nvidia had on the chips and Asus gouged about £500 on models like strix etc.

Canceled my 3090 Strix couldn't justify paying 1800 for such a small boost compared to the 3080. The best it did in reviews was 15% pretty much a titan in disguise
