The question is how many come into the UK via air shipment per manufacturer. Then how many goes to each retailer. How long should the customers of the first 50/100 cards of each brand wait? 1-2-3-4 weeks?

The least OCUK could do is get this official queue system up ASAP so people can see in real time what position they are in. Then they could give us some form of lead times so people can decide what to do. They could also stop pre orders now like all other retailers.

Well technically after taking payment for a product they should, by law under distance selling, deliver thst product within 30 days unless otherwise agreed with the customer.

From what I am seeing, nobody has agreed to that, as a matter of fact, many people ordered stock based on the ETAs provided on the product page so yeah.

Government guideance is pretty clear on the rules.

For all you Asus Strix OC people like me there's finally a review out there!!!!

https://www.gadgetvoize.com/2020/09/24/exclusive-review-asus-strix-rtx-3080-10gb-oc-edition/

Put in for the non-OC model but should still apply since its literally just a factory bios difference, thanks for the link!

Hope I don't get disappointed after reading it.

Edit: Need to bring up other card stats, overall looks pretty much in line with the TUF but with just better overclocking and higher power limits to ensure stability, the chunkier cooler doesn't really provide much more vs the TUF.

Are people really losing their minds over not having a 3080 to not play their backlog of 2005-2019 steam sale games :D

Give it a rest guys get some fresh air. NVIDIA have screwed this up fantastically. Jen has egg on his face after such a fantastic presentation they have been made to look micky mouse.

Again, most people don't care about waiting, they just want better information and more transparency, especially considering they have had their money taken for a product.

After a transaction has been completed, the seller has a 30-day deadline to deliver the goods if no specific date was agreed. Thirty days allows for postal problems or any other issues. The 30 days protects the seller. Not every delay in delivery is the seller’s fault and the selling regulations have taken this into account. If, for example, the seller cannot complete the transaction (they cannot provide the goods by the specified date or umbrella 30-day period), then the seller must inform the buyer before the 30-day deadline. A refund must be made as quickly as possible within the maximum of 14 days. It may help to remember the ‘14-30’ rule: 14 days to refund or come to an agreement with the buyer, 30 for everything to be completed.

Right well OcUK don't have the info, end of, competitors do? Great go cancel your order and order with them

OCUK can only supply the specific info they have which may differ to other competitors

Once again, don't like it then refund, the option has been made very simple and easy.

... and the remedy for failure to deliver within 30 days is that you get to choose between receiving a refund, or agreeing a new delivery date...

Which is exactly where you are right now, if you don't want to wait, ask for a refund, nothing can compel a retailer to deliver a product that they have not received...

It is also worth remembering that all this money that is being held by OCUK is a liability not an asset.

They have accepted the liability to supply cards at a fixed price which they may or may not be able to achieve so the potential profit,. if any, remains uncertain.

Until they do actually deliver a card the funds have to remain available to provide a refund, and the typical interest on a business cash account right now is around 0.05%, so they are making around £7 per day on a balance of say £5m, not even enough to cover Gibbo's petrol bill...

So keep that in mind, they are not getting fat on taking pre-orders and holding the cash, they are gambling this years profitability on their ability to deliver products and make a profit despite all the uncertainties in the world right now...

I am happy the pre-orders are open at OC. See what is happening in the US - people run like headless chickens looking for any place to join the waiting queue. That being said some more information to get an idea of the position in the queue would be more than welcome - just for our sanity.

And do you know this info is accurate? If so, how do you know this?
We do not but at least the competitor has the confidence to advise customers, I cannot knock that!

One minute we all believe OCUK has great market position, priority even and then the information tap gets turned off.

The updates on here are very poor IMO.

I am sure most people would rather have the likes of no EVGA, ASUS due today, eta is... Zotac will be in... A simple page diaplay is all that is needed.

I think the queue system would give us all a peace of mind that something's being done.

Hi all!
Can we note the fact that the 30 day rule does not apply to pre-orders.
Would be smart to clear that up before proceeding.

Also, first post, lurker, purchaser of an Gigabyte eagle at 2:34 with a spot number of ""100"" not that that matters.
I also got the eagle at £650 before the inflation so you could consider me happy with the situation.

Guys I'm about to grab another card as my money for my cancelled card just came through. Any ideas on which one? I want to go for the MSI Gaming Trio but I feel It's going to be a long time till I get It. Originally was going to get a Zotac AMP Holo but trying to change my mind, can anyone give suggestions?
