Thread gets funnier everyday wouldn't be surprised if once the queue calc is done it gets locked and they throw away the key :D. OC are not holding anybody's money hostage its easier right now to get a refund than it was to purchase the card at release on the site. Neither is anybody 'over a barrel' you can wait, change and order from a competitor or spam f5 again on nvidias marketplace.

Calm down.

Can only imagine what they're going to be like in about 6 months time, when they're still waiting for their cards, if this is them after only a week :p

I've answered a few hundred webnotes since last week from customers about their 3080 orders (and I don't even look after graphics cards!). Each time I've not just done the minimum possible but tried to explain our actions and do what I can to make people happy.
But did you actually give them any meaningful information? I submitted a ticket and got absolutely nothing from it. Zilch. No queue number. No idea of past or future stock. Absolutely nothing. I'm sure you're super polite and prompt and everything else. But if OC are not giving out any meaningful information, what does it matter? The customer is still going to be aggravated by your polite but ultimately pointless response. I'd rather you told me my queue position and then told me to get the **** off your porch. At least that way I would have an iota of what's going on. People are not happy. Very far from it.

Cancelled my order for the FTW3 ULTRA so hopefully somebody here gets bumped up the waiting line.

**** EVGA, not only are they completely shafting Europe by not giving us any stock but they’re also ignoring customers and retailers that ask about the situation.

Wish I had gone with another brand from the start.

I’m afraid I went ahead and asked for cancellation and refund of my 3080 tuf oc order. The lack of any update and any (even a bit vague) ETA is quite bad to be honest.

Gibbo has to gauge his retail price off less than accurate stock/supply forecasts while balancing the pricing/availability he may get 2 weeks-months down the line when those cards for those pre-orders come into stock.

He has to allow for 1.5% volatility in £ value without any big shocks (HELLO BREXIT) to the market. In any case the market exists for a reason - the market (you guys, our customers) are welcome to buy the product from another reseller if they think their price/availability/service, etc. is better.

As enthusiasts ourselves we try to play this game for the betterment of our customers and ourselves. We know what this game is like having played it ourselves, both sides of the checkout.

To be perfectly honest, we don't care overly if Overclockers make more or less profit than another reseller, as long as we make enough to keep OCUK going, pay our colleagues, continue to do what we do, and keep customers are happy.

Supplying the PC gamer/enthusiast market with the best hardware, service and support is what keeps us up at night.

We are always looking to engage and listen with our customers, YOU GUYS! If you want us to do anything better then let us know here or via webnotes. We are always watching and listening!

We'll always try and meet your expectations and if not let you know why we can't, unlike some faceless corporations out there.

If you reach out to us whether in sales, RMA, purchasing, via webnotes, or here on the forums we will always try and get back to you! :)

I know there’s not a lot you can do to get stock here quicker, but what I think you could do better is manage customer expectations.

More than a week after the 3080 launch I don’t understand why customers haven’t been told their queue positions for each card. Even if developers are working on an official queue webpage or whatever, it’d take an hour or two tops to pull the data together to at least get users a one off “your current queue position for your card is X, we expect this to change due to cancellations, you’ll be able to track your queue position in real time once our developers have developed a tool for this”

I cancelled my MSI card on the weekend, come Monday I got the refund by 10am so they seem pretty quick. Decided to switch out to the Asus Strix OC. According to unofficial queue I'm in first place, if that's anywhere near accurate then I'm a happy boy.
pretty weird, i ordered my asus strix from them on monday too (morning) but was 1119

You cant just dump a list of names and queue numbers. you would have to email every one individually. that would take a week or more. Thanks data protection for that

Hello, just ordered Gigabyte RTX3080 with guaranteed delivery date 10.10.20... Just want to know if it is a regular delay or something goes wrong? I am from London, but ordered in Netherlands at xmindstore d0t c0m, I have checked them for their genuine status, but have never ordered with them before, and now I am just confused about the delivery period... :( please calm me down...
I can guarantee that is 100% a scam site. As someone else said, the domain was only even registered a few days ago. It is hosted on NameCheap, and no proper retailer like that would use cheap shared hosting like that. The site is using a bog standard OpenCart theme, The availability dates are before the launch date, you can see the details of the cards have just been copied and pasted in from somewhere else, no formatting or anything.

There are so many warning signs there.

I thought a key part of being British was being glad nobody in customer service pretends they enjoy their job :D

Dam that doesn't fill me with hope. Guess we need the official queue. Are we not hearing anymore about it from gibbo? Thought he said about giving him till later in the week to sort it but not seen anything else.

Edit: was it the oc version?
