Good objective video around the crashing problem.
Yeah MSI cards are reporting the same problem, it looks like all cards will have some BIOS update that underclocks it, therefore u paid extra for nothing, I am cancelling my MSI order as the net is now full of these problems:

MANUFATURES RESPONSE SO FAR:
ASUS

ASUS has changed the design in pre-production. No official statement was made.

MSI

MSI acknowledged the issue during the MSI Insider Livestream, suggested it could be a driver issue.

ZOTAC

Igor’sLAB reports: PC Partner, Zotac’s mother company, seems to have recognized this and is obviously changing its cards.

GIGABYTE, GALAX and other brands

No official statement.

This post by @NikTheSHNIK yesterday seems to confirm they are working based on order time, rather than number, which seems to be based on payment processing time.
So if this is the case, then we actually have zero idea and the whole unofficial queue is completely wrong... R.I.P. Order time seems to indicate when your order was placed no? Rather than when the payment was confirmed? Because the money was held as a pending charge on my card for a while until they finally processed it and withdrew it. So one could argue that they actually took payment much sooner than the payment confirmation email. Guess only the official queue will answer this.

@opethdisciple so far for its CAPS there are more early problems.

But I'm pretty sure none of the manufacturers made any claims in their official marketing about their cards being able to overclock to 2Ghz.

MSI for the Gaming X Trio say the boost clock is 1815, anything above that using GPU Boost is a bonus, so going from 2Ghz GPU Boost to 1.95Ghz isn't misleading advertising or anything as you're paying for the advertised boost clock, not anything that GPU Boost can provide

From what I've read it's going to be 2 on the MSI Trio, the higher overclock. And 1 on the Ventus slower clocked variant. That might be appropriate given it seems to be a problem when boosting dynamically to high clock speeds.

As for OCUK, I have a question. If we're shipped a card which has these crashing problems due to POSCAP/MLCCs configs (essentially hardware) would we be eligible for a full refund or replacement? And would any replacements for these parts be at the front or back of the queue?

1 on the 3080 Gaming Trio X, 2 on the 3090. pictures on tinterweb.

Lian li lancool 2 mesh is a pretty good case, there's a new phanteks case that's meant to be really good as well but can't remember it's name, p400 something or another, it's got a big mesh panel at the front so shouldn't be to hard to recognise

Can you fit 300mm GPU into a case where max GPU is 280mm? Can I like force it in? Lol. Aaaaa it seems I will need a new case. I want one with fans, any recommadations please?

I dunno but I've got a 305mm card to fit into a 300mm slot in my Fractal r6, I might be forced to move some HDDs :(

Not sure I want to try and force 5mm, having said that with engineering tolerances it might just fit without being forced...giggidy.

So are you saying that other companies who are divulging stock information such as ETAs are going to cause a fallout with the vendors?

I just don't understand how another company can have estimated dates of delivery and can tell people roughly what amount of stock they might be getting in via a simple webpage that's updated daily but at OCUK we have to essentially beg on a forum for information and get told to be patient, as if we aren't paying customers and it's some kind of privilege to be shopping with OCUK and we should be grateful just to get any information from you guys.

I have shopped with you guys for years and this has been, imo, the worst customer service experience I have ever had, the lack of clear and concise information after taking money from the customer is just unprofessional imo.

I appreciate that you're trying to give updates now on the forum but it's still really not saying much, it's more about how great OCUK is rather than some solid information about stock.

So I have some blunt questions to ask, hopefully you can give me a straight answer.

1. When are we likely to get a queue calculator? (Are we still getting one?)

2. Can you give an ETA on stock delivery for every brand of card (like your competitors have) so customers know when you are likely to get more cards in for shipment?

3. Can you make this information easily accessible via a webpage link that is updated daily so we no longer have to ask and beg for information that frankly, we are entitled to as paying customers?

I appreciate your response to my post but these are things I feel people really want answers to, clear answers.

+1

I'm late to the party anyway as I didn't order until the 19th and the unofficial calculator has me at somewhere around 2200 in the queue for a 3080 TUF so I'm resigned to play the waiting game either way. But I'm not entirely sure putting out that sort of messaging garners much confidence in OC's ability to meet demand on a customer level.

Not intended as a snarky dig, but as a customer it doesn't read well.

Are you sure they have gone to 2 of them??
The 3090 has 2, but I bet it's still only 1 on the 3080
That is a image of the 3080 you can clearly see it doesn't have the sli connector. And yes some places have been updating there images.
As you can see the 3090 has the sli stuff that other image is 3080 and now has 2 MLC.
