So I just got off the phone with OCuk.

According to OCuk they process orders by time of payment received, so people who ordered early during the first and second day after launch will find, because it took their servers a long time to process full payment, people's order que will be pushed back many days after the day they ordered, it's a mess quite honestly.
Payment received or payment confirmed? Because received could be whenever the order time is on the out of stock email.

By the info they gave to me,only the order number is influenced by the payment process time. And since they also confirmed that I joined the queue the moment of order placment even thoue my payment went thrue 2 days later

with 3080 EVERYONE is a looser.
NV for making paper lunch and flame on them
AIB's for not producing enough stock
Retailers cause they sold stuff they not had
1) I doubt anyone is any looser than prior to launch, that's just weird.
2) How can the AIBs produce more cards when NV can't get them chips quick enough?
3) Retailers sell things as pre-order all the time. People were made aware that the 3080 orders would be pre-order aside from a small number, yet people still chose to pre-order. That is their choice. I do think OcUK should have stopped taking orders by now though.

Dude going from 1.1v to 1v is not going to affect the cards performance what so ever, it'll still be able to go anywhere as high as 2.1GHz. All you'll be doing is eliminating the bouncing (between clock rate and voltage) the cards are currently doing since the boost tables are shacked. It's literally just stabilising the card, it'll perform the same.

I understand why many on here believe that this is unfair, but unfortunately, that is how it works. Until the retailer has proof of payment, your order is not an order. Otherwise, products, whether in stock or on preorder would be held up with people placing orders and not having paid for them. As with many on here, I agree that they could/should have simply taken a pre-auth or a deposit, instead of full payment. However, I doubt that OCUK has a large enough credit line with any of either the manufacturer directly (unlikely dealing with them direct) or more like dealing with Ingram Micro, who is one of the largest computer component/electronics/phone wholesalers in the EU. Not that many trade companies, especially now, offer large lines of credit - it's pay up front. OCUK probably do not have the cash reserves to layout several million in orders to pay upfront. Hence taking full payment right away.

Possibly. All just speculation without something official from OC, although it looks like the “official” word may not being adhered to. I think I need to take my own advice and just sit back and wait for whatever is going to happen, to happen. Maybe I should put this much focus into the work I’m supposed to be doing....;)
That`s part of the fun of being ( recently) retired. I get to spend the WHOLE DAY obsessing about trivia......

Im okay. My paypal payment was processed same time as order ! Still gonna be waiting to after chrimbo though. Ordered at 17:35pm on the 17th for the Trio

Just got off the phone with OCuK.

They said the queue position they're configuring will be based on the time order is placed for people who paid by card.

If you paid my Amazon, Finance, etc. then the queue position is based on the time the payment/agreement was approved.

They also said we will be waiting for the queue system for another 2-3 weeks.

If this is true thats absolute trash
How can you take one payment method by order time and penalise others by when their own slow system processed ?

Length of time for calculator fits conveniently into the timeframe of when there's likely to be more shipments
Seems OCUK don't want to release this queue positions for fear of mass cancellations
Extremely poor form

I have this exact same "issue" with my 1080Ti, locking clocks and voltages makes it stable, can hardly blame caps for this one, can we ;) I suspect the caps are more of a band-aid on a broken leg, a software or bios fix is more likely :)
