Okay who's going to make tea ?
I think fx1 just wants to let some steam off today and have a rant.. I did same other day too when Nvidia screwed me for a 3090fe 15 times in basket and week before didn't even have a chance to see the 3080 in stock

..
Okay reality time a lot of people are buying these GPUs for work too not just gaming and reality is the people buying them for gaming well hobbies sadly are expensive, name me a cheap hobby ? Life is short let people enjoy what makes them happy, geeze I have spent money I didn't even have to buy something that I needed for work or to cheer me up to get on with life..
The point is not performance fx1 or Vram blaa blaa it's the rude way you dished it out that's upset most of us here, and you are talking to a lot of very knowledgeable people here not redit brats or youtube kids commenting. The guys replying back to you are people you want to listen to when you need help with when your speak and spell breaks down, they will know how to fix it..
All of them know about VRAM issues and none issues but most want to make sure they dont have issues and most here are not using their systems for gaming only... remember that , you are also talking to many professional people that use their computers for more then minecraft or solitaire..
We agree with you about things but the way you are doing it isn't nice mate.. Greebo has even said reality a few times a 2080ti that clocks well is basically a 3080.. with 1GB vram more...Look at the power use of these stupid cards that tells you enough compared to last gen, imagine sticking 400w+ threw a 2080ti and can keep temps under control under a normal environment. What would you get ?

Nvidia is doing the old same rubbish when it can't make a card better than its last one by upping the power use to silly levels again as they have done many times in the past when their cards didn't work well (faster than last gen) at sensible power use..
Look at what is happening with these cards 3080 and 3090 crashing... while Nvidia slips a driver "Update" that will as we know make the cards not clock high and keep them from crashing.. The drivers before were for all the e-peen people benchmarking so they can make it look like they are fast.. All reviews after the crashing fixed drivers need to be redone and all benchmarks to give a real performance without crashing... Also wait for AIBs that will push VBIOS updates too.. to lessen the performance of all cards showing problems.
Reality is Nvidia pulled a fast one again on all of us... 3090 is basically a 2080ti with 24gb Vram and almost 50% performance boost at more expensive than 2080ti previously and they are trying to make us justify the price hike because of the 24GB Vram.. which is basically what we are paying for here a better chip with less fused off areas and more VRAM and higher power use.
FX1 we are all annoyed really with Nvidia from people waiting to buy to people that have purchased to people realising reality of what has happened since release of these cards.. But some of us really need an update and some of us really need it for work or as some have done sold their 2080tis and sat with machines they can't use right now. It's really all a big mess and we have only Nvidia to thank for this and the silly fake hype they cause. 2x performance while they try staying quiet about hey 350W radiator you will get for free too.
