I don't think there will be a queue system coming, as I think they must have realised by now that most people don't give a monkeys which card they get, they just want a 3080 (yes, I know some people are very fussy). If they put in a queue system then people will post their queue numbers on here and then everyone will rush to pile into the shortest queue.

That said, I don't expect the other online shops to be any different in the way they are operating, I just think they are now dealing with much lower numbers as they shut the doors quite early on to keep the numbers down.

They're possibly dealing with MUCH lower numbers. They stopped at 6 week forecast. That could have literally have been 500 of each type of card. If it's to be believed, some cards here have over 2000 waiting on one.

I honestly believe they oversubscribed to perceived availability, sold cards, and have no real understanding on amounts.

I'd rather have had 'sold out' and then have updates on availability. This would have prevented people from selling their old cards, and eventual disappointment about the launch.

The site that is giving out expecting shipping status of cards coming in has update - week delays for EVGA and MSI that were due end of this week
It's mental, ordering within 45 minutes of it going on sale and I likely won't have a card before the offer codes run out. I blame Nvidia and AIBs not OCUK for this tbh, they would love to tell us they're receiving hundreds of cards but AIBs just aren't producing and shipping quick enough.

Just waiting for someone to locate the container ship carrying the first proper decent delivery of 3080's so we can all start posting screenshots from the ship tracking sites!

Didn't they say you couldn't switch to a more expensive product? Haven't the prices gone up for all cards now?

The message said they couldn't switch because of their chosen payment method (amazon payments) where taking more money wasn't possible, or something to that effect.

OCUK - you really need to straighten up this queue jumping issue. Either your staff have been misinformed or we have. Either way I am sure you can see why people would not be happy.

@Gibbo, if Ferrari were delivering 3 cars into the UK and you had been waiting 6 months for yours, you’d be somewhat aggrieved if a guy who ordered a Lambo 7 month ago decided he wanted a Ferrari after all and took your place in the queue, bumping you out so you then had to wait another 6 months whilst he was driving around in the nice new Ferrari that had been reserved for you. You’d be even more annoyed if the same thing happened 6 months later.

Hopefully you can see why that would give people pause for thought. With any luck its just a misunderstanding by us poor forum hacks rather than by OCUK staff, but it would be great if you could clear the situation up for us. Thanks

Personally fine with waiting, bit annoyed they take all the money before the card is even dispatched, I mean it could be months before i get my card, considering i'm like 1700 in queue I believe, could have had that money sat in a savings account for those months making me a bit of extra dough.

Prefer how some other stores do it where you are not charged till it actually ships... or least till it is in stock.

Hopefully next month OCUK are getting shipments of 100s of cards not a small 30
