Posting full email again to be clearer - again, i did not swap and have not - they mixed up my request to cancel a TUF screen with i want to swap to a TUF card.
That is the only reason i got in touch to cancel a screen off my order.

I posted here to inform everyone and to hopefully have OCUK clear up the details, as customer service is saying one thing and then on the forum its posted something else.
CS are also telling people a queue will be sent today or tomorrow - but how does that work with people swapping - we just want some clarity - I know i will be waiting a while and I am okay with that.

That is utterly disgraceful. I’ve used Overclockers for years, but this is leaving a very sour taste in my mouth.

Thanks for bumping me up the Eagle queue ;) how do you know you were higher up in the Asus queue? Unofficial queue? Do you mind asking me if there’s a major reason for your switch or is it just preference?

Yeah just unofficial queue, I was just under 30 in Eagle and dropped around 10ish places for the ASUS. But rumours are that the gigabyte cards will be getting more stock sooner, so I expect the Eagle would've arrived sooner.

There was a few reasons for the switch tbh. First off, before launch I found a list on Alphacools site of all the reference cards, and the Eagle was listed as one of them. Went to buy the waterblock a couple of days later and they'd taken the Eagle off the page. I know it was there as I'd confirmed everything with the part number when making my wishlist of cards.

After that, I briefly looked around at other reference cards and thought about selling my Eagle once it arrived to get something reference, but it would be a big hassle and quite a bit more expensive. Alphacool released an ASUS TUF waterblock, and TUF was shown as having 6 fancy chips instead of rubbish ones which at that point people were saying was a major issue. I've always been a fan of ASUS anyway so everything just kinda pointed to that. If I hadn't of tried to go reference from the outset this would've been my original card to order anyway, so decided it was worth the £70 and slight wait for me to switch. I'll be waiting 3 weeks for my waterblock from alphacool anyway so not a big deal on a longer wait :P

Hmm do I change my Zotac to a TUF since I won't lose my spot in que or hope I get a Zotac in coming weeks?

i've ordered a zotac myself and really hoping they come quickly but I personally feel that zotac are in the worse place atm and i feel they will recall there products and not put them on sale till new stock is made (for obvious reasons cant mention it here as post will be deleted) so im strongly thinking on cancelling my pre order due to i feel stock will be held and new card made. I hope im wrong

Ok Thanks Frozen they haven't added AMP Halo to the calculator only Extreme haven't seen many people talking about AMP Halo so hopefully there's a low Q
I'm guessing there wouldn't be many who preordered it as they would have been waiting on their own cards which they ordered earlier. Then again, looking at all the queue swapping going on, I have no idea where we'll be in the queue :-( I'm looking out for a Founders Edition and if I get one, I can cancel this one I have here so that'll move you one up the queue ;-)

You are all getting worked up without any concrete evidence. You all have an order number. That’s it. There is no queue. The unofficial “queue” is for a rough estimate. personally I don’t have an issue with someone who ordered before me swapping over anyway, that’s just how it goes. Not like anyone ordered a TUF knowing it was gonna be great. I imagine most of us called up and asked what was left.

I'm happy to get to the back of the queue for a 3080

(I think the MSI Trio queue is disproportionately long because OC advertised it as "due in")..

Does anyone have a list of estimated queue lengths ?

I made this account out of frustration regarding this dumb queue jump talk. Everyone is getting riled up about something that a <10 post user heard somebody say to his mate on the phone who is apparently from OCUK(!).

Yet there are actual direct quotes from OCUK staff on this forum saying that if you wanna swap, cancel your order and re-submit a new order and get in line to the back of the queue. Its not really that difficult is it? All of this speculation based on everything but fact. On top of this, I see people saying that they've called 20x times this morning, send IMs to forum staff here, there and everywhere, just relax lol. Take a deep breath and wait like everyone else. Its just a GPU!
I asked just to find out I'm not changing my order in happy with MSI Gaming X Trio. But from 2 staff members and they don't have many at all. Both said can keep queue position if I decide to change. As position is based on time ordered not card ordered. Only stipulation is, if you want a card more expensive no matter what you have to cancel and re order (back of queue) due to having to take another payment. If the card is same price or less you keep queue and get refund for difference.
Id be very surprised if staff are not all on same page since they have very small staff size very small.
Email I got. Again IM NOT SWAPPING LOL

For what it’s worth, I ordered the ASUS TUF OC 3080 on the 17th at 21:40 ish U.K. time, order no 586820*
I was informed today on the phone that I am approximately between 100 and 120 on the list, But the list is very fluid at the moment with cancellations etc, and they are working on trying to put a list together that will be emailed to people or put on the forum to give folks an idea of their position... hope that helps.

Not really had a comment on much of this but seeing a fair few posts now, it's a bit cheeky jumping queue on other cards. The pre-order was for a specific card, not a generic 3080.

Nice mate. Not bad. My MSI order was 15;09 (actually 14:28 but order time is diffent coz of payment I guess) and I'd say TUF and MSI are on same par as popularity. The unofficial queue system was a good try bit clearly WAY off. Gg mate. Hope you get soon.

Care to link to those direct quotes?

If the information is inaccurate then a member of OCUK staff such as @Gibbo or @NikTheSHNIK could quite easily pop in here and tell everyone that it's not the truth and that anybody who changes order has to start at the back of the queue.

Takes seconds to address that issue.

Thing is, they did, albeit a lifetime (i.e. 3 days) ago.

If a customer wishes to swap their order from one product to another they will have to cancel their existing order and place a new one for their desired product. Joining the queue at the end.

It is a bit odd for an OCUK employee to say the above and then for OCUK to allow people to "switch queues". However, it must be a great way of making a little bit more money.

Yet more contradicting information being allowed to linger. Can a OC admin confirm what the situation is with regards to queue positions if switching cards? We have a direct quote from OC saying it's back of the line and official looking emails stating queue positions will be honoured. It's disrespectful to those of us who waited to make an informed decision to be bumped down the queue in favour of people who were trigger happy, trying to get hold of anything.

I havent even remotely realistically considered changing my order, not for any moral reason, just that I know this would be what happens. Can't be bothered trying to infinitely second guess my choice based on such little shipping info
