I think OCUK should at the minimum give everyone who’s ordered a 3080 free next day delivery. With the ridiculous lead times plus they were bumping the prices up as people were ordering just to make more profit.
Right!? We're paying like 10 quid for next day delivery despite the item not arriving for potentially months. They'd try to parse it off as that is charged separately to DPD when the item ships but one of the biggest e-commerce sites on the internet who also use distributors would refund your delivery charge if it missed the target not to mention next-day would be like half the price too.

TBH I'll settle just for knowing how deep I am in the queue - and also that they would have shipped the £1300 monitor which I also ordered WHEN IT WAS IN STOCK. Because now it's not in stock is it. So I guess I have to wait twice as long for both a 3080 AND a monitor.

It's not 100% clear from the quoted customer service messages people have posted (despite some people saying it is). However, OcUK haven't confirmed either way so we just have a massive amount of speculation instead. I'm not too bothered about waiting but I most certainly am bothered if someone can skip ahead of me in the queue. I did actually cancel and order a different card. It never occurred to me to ask to jump the queue!

Hoping AMD come out with something good with Big Navi and I'll just get that instead.

It is a shame that you did not contact customer services first, to inquire about changing your order and keeping your queue position.

But for those that did change their order and kept their queue position, then I guess they would say that customer services at OcUK are excellent.

They don’t have the cards yet. You will get it next day when it is available in stock. It’s not like they have missed the next day delivery target at all. You knew they were not in stock when you ordered.

I ordered a monitor about a week before card release so thankfully it arrived with plenty of time. Now if only I had the GPU to get the max out of it, my current 1060 is doing its best bless it.

since overclockers only really offer DPD on the major items (smaller cheaper ones can be sent by Royal Mail) you would have had to pay for the postage anyhow and it will be next day when they have stock so I don’t see the issue. Overclockers does offer postage incentives to forum users though which is really good of overclockers for rewarding there community on these forums

No, you're paying next day for when it arrives. Youget the email, then it arrives the next day. I get what I' m paying for there and see no issue.

Also, the Eagle vid was good. Love their vids, but it doesn't account for the already higher power draw, 340 vs 320 so the power target is not something I'm concerned of on the face of it. I'd like to see a curve set up from afterburner or something and see what it does to stretch it's legs, maybe nothing, but I'd try.

Did you create your forum account after ordering? Forum members get free delivery if you link your account from the shop ‘account’ page.

Utterly unacceptable to be letting people change card and skip ahead of others in the queue @Gibbo this needs addressing right now, no excuses.
I ordered a specific card KNOWING it would be less popular and SHOULD have increased my chances of getting it SOONER, but now people can hop queues and negate my foresight? This is ridiculous. If you want your reputation bombed, this kind of **** is how you do it @Gibbo

Becoming a member on these forums and hitting certain criteria within this community will allow you to get free delivery with overclockers which I’ve allways like:)

To be clear before everyone tries to bite my head off I don't have an issue paying the delivery charge. If I can afford the card I can afford the delivery. My point was it sucks paying such a price when in reality it's only going to make a difference of like 45 days to 41 days instead of say 1 to 5 days. Next day feels much more worthwhile the sooner you get the item, getting it 80% quicker as oppose to 5% quciker. Also to whomever said I knew it wasn't in stock you're correct but when I placed the order the site was saying 23rd September to be fair. That obviously turned out to be incredibly inaccurate due to site being overwhelmed and even then it was an expected date. This is my first time buying out of the gate for this kind of launch so its all new for me. Perhaps I was naive but I was expecting that I'd still get my item within a couple of weeks of launch so at the time Next Day seemed much more advertising. Ultimately I'm still fine paying for it, if I weren't I'm sure I'd be able to contact CS and get it changed, I wouldn't expect it for free in either case.

Don't understand some people here talking about "entitlement" when people paid 700+ quid for a product, have their payment processed and completed just to have the order up in the air for potential months with no guarantees. Let people voice their frustration, that's the minimum

That's wierd, my forum account is linked but I still get charged shipping and even when looking at a new 3080 order (test order) its still wanting to charge me shippong

I agree to a degree, however, the people paying their money (especially those that have ordered AFTER release day) knew there would be a wait for cards and have had the opportunity to cancel at any time, however, I do feel more communication would be helpful.

On the other hand I would also say I have seen a LOT of entitlement, with people demanding daily updates, or continuing to call OcUK despite being asked not to. I've seen plenty of people throwing their toys out the pram so there is a lot of childishness...

Hopefully, we will see production start to ramp up in the next few weeks.
