I find it hilarious that I suggest something to improve the overall communication that everything is bad mouthing OCuK about. Only for it to be ridiculed. So you want better communication but you don’t?

Laughing stock.

@Pongo Snodgrass At least you understood my point.

Better communication yes but you asked for two things.

One has already been put in place and is visible to anyone on the forums the other was just ridiculous. Guess it' not like they're busy though...

Nobody's suggesting this couldn't have been handled better and nobody's ridiculing you, your suggestion is being criticised because it doesn't address anything important, it's just fluff for the sake of fluff. Wind your neck in.

People have literally been given two options:

1: You cancel your order if you dont like the situation.
2: Keep your order and wait it out like everyone else, you'll get one when there is stock.

Yet people want a magic third option?
That' like
You can have either a sandwich or a salad for lunch, those are the options. "BuT i wAnT A bUrGer."

He means say something like “no stock arriving today” rather than constantly throughout the day saying “nope, still nothing”, which is why most people are haunting this thread.
This. So much better to have them say "no stock expected" in the morning and then get surprised if a shipment appears rather than having to check 24/7 and get yourself more frustrated.

But you dont have to guess? if you dont recieve an update, there was no stock?

This is a product that is inherently "out of stock", why do people need to be constantly told that this is still the case?

it's not hard.

IF. YOU. DONT. GET. AN. UPDATE. THERE. WAS. NO. DElIVERY. AND. THERE. HASNT. BEEN. ANY. NEW. STOCK.

to quote the meerkat's
SIMPLES.

Ill direct you to my above comment. It's pointless and literally wastes someones time.

But if there isn't any update for stock then the default IS no stock expected.

This should NOT have to be explained every time.

Honestly, this is what I meant about entitlement earlier. Peoples expectations are serious out whack.

I understand your point but I’m sure after a week or so, posting “no stock expected” will cause just as much anger among buyers as posting nothing at all.

It’s a lose lose scenario either way.

Been checking the forums every 2 or three days just to keep myself informed, do think it's way over the top in here but I'm shifting a little on the Comms situation. It's not even for my sake I'm thinking more for the staff working in customer service myself.

Let's say a post denoting no stock for the day brought down call and webnote volume by as low as even 10% surely that would be a benefit to all.
Then again that would require faith that people seeing the updates would call anyway!

I'll direct you to my above comment, its my opinion.

Some people like to know, the issue is gibbo isn't just posting updates at the end of the day is he? He's posting them at any random time, and with all the ambiguity of he said she said in the forum having a proper "No update" today would go a long way for people not spending hours going through all this **** yeno

If people are still calling at this point, they clearly arent seeing the current updates.
Judging by the amount of new forum accounts posting in here, the forums have already caught a few potential "callers"

Sure after a week or so, but thats not whats been happening. We get an update then get left in the dark.

Don't get me wrong, not ripping my hair out over this but I feel CS would even benefit from less people phoning up bc gibbo has a break

I cancelled by 3080 Tuff order today, just can't be bothered being involved in the 3080 farce. I'll wait until you can order a card and actually get it.

He doesn't post randomly.

He posts when he has an update to share with us.

Shock.
