I find it hilarious that I suggest something to improve the overall communication that everything is bad mouthing OCuK about. Only for it to be ridiculed. So you want better communication but you don’t?
Laughing stock.
@Pongo Snodgrass At least you understood my point.
Nobody's suggesting this couldn't have been handled better and nobody's ridiculing you, your suggestion is being criticised because it doesn't address anything important, it's just fluff for the sake of fluff. This. So much better to have them say "no stock expected" in the morning and then get surprised if a shipment appears rather than having to check 24/7 and get yourself more frustrated. He means say something like “no stock arriving today” rather than constantly throughout the day saying “nope, still nothing”, which is why most people are haunting this thread.
You need to hit a certain number of posts first...

But you dont have to guess? if you dont recieve an update, there was no stock?
This is a product that is inherently "out of stock", why do people need to be constantly told that this is still the case?
it's not hard.
IF. YOU. DONT. GET. AN. UPDATE. THERE. WAS. NO. DElIVERY. AND. THERE. HASNT. BEEN. ANY. NEW. STOCK.
to quote the meerkat's
SIMPLES.

But if there isn't any update for stock then the default IS no stock expected.This. So much better to have them say "no stock expected" in the morning and then get surprised if a shipment appears rather than having to check 24/7 and get yourself more frustrated.
I understand your point but I’m sure after a week or so, posting “no stock expected” will cause just as much anger among buyers as posting nothing at all.This. I'll direct you to my above comment, its my opinion.Ill direct you to my above comment. It's pointless and literally wastes someones time.
I agree that the update moaning is a bit much, but this comparison is ridiculous.Imagine going to the App Store and moaning at the developer because they havent updated your app with "there is no new update today" message.
If people are still calling at this point, they clearly arent seeing the current updates.Been checking the forums every 2 or three days just to keep myself informed, do think it's way over the top in here but I'm shifting a little on the Comms situation. It's not even for my sake I'm thinking more for the staff working in customer service myself.
Let's say a post denoting no stock for the day brought down call and webnote volume by as low as even 10% surely that would be a benefit to all.
Then again that would require faith that people seeing the updates would call anyway!
Then sign up for email notifications on the thread. Problem solved.I'll direct you to my above comment, its my opinion.
Some people like to know, the issue is gibbo isn't just posting updates at the end of the day is he? He's posting them at any random time, and with all the ambiguity of he said she said in the forum having a proper "No update" today would go a long way for people not spending hours going through all this **** yeno

It’s a lose lose scenario either way.
He doesn't post randomly.I'll direct you to my above comment, its my opinion.
