Hmmm, in these circumstances though it shows an unpleasant attitude of we want to hang on to your money even though we haven't got what you paid for so we won't allow anyone to tell you where you can get one now! Just saying!

Nobody is having their money held hostage. You can cancel any time, I did it myself.

*Edit* I remember, must have been 200 pages back, nvidia put some FE's for sale and there was 3 or 4 pages of discussions on it. Not one of those posts were removed.

Nvidia isn’t a ‘competitor’ in the same way. There’s only one place you can get FE cards - the Nvidia website.

4 days to cancel an order, and the 5 working days to get the money? they have to be kidding. wow

It shouldn’t be anything like that long. I got cancellation confirmation same or next day and money back in 3 working days.

I understand how customer service should work. This isn't how customer service should work. Quite the opposite.

If having a chip on my shoulder equates to calmly sitting here, understanding that the queue is long, there will be a long wait, and that mistakes have been (and are being) made, then yes, I am Mr Chip McCain of Chip House, Chipville, Chippington, Chipshire.
I generally find a customers expectation of how customer service should work is far from how customer service works in reality.

Source: I work in customer service. The customer is NOT always right. In fact, they are normally wrong, very wrong.

Still no news on EVGA not even one post on the official stock thread makes me think they arent getting any :(
Yep, I've said it before now. The fact they withdrew EVGA from the pre-order quite early on and they're still the only cards you can't preorder in terms of 3080 (they never tried to sell EGA 3090) makes me somewhat concerned about if/when I'll ever see my pre-order. Seems odd they'd take those actions compared to other cards (some of which I believe they also haven't received any stock of) specifically.

Has there been any update from Zotac at all? I've seen some tweets posted from asus and MSI
Only update from them was amazon gave them order for 20k cards in first day alone. Let that sink in One retailer 20k cards from one brand...

Far too many pages to go through and see if this has cropped up before, but....

I've decided with all the bad press to cancel my Trinity with *Elsewhere* and go for the Aorus Master here - taking a gamble maybe but I've liked Aorus and im hoping with it being gigabyte top end it won't be full of cost cutting like in the Zotac cards. That being said....

I rang overclockers bascially told them I want to preorder and I know they don't have info etc, but I want to know what I'm getting myself into before I preorder. Is there 300 on back order or 3000. So he checked, 171. Sorted.Pre-ordered, I can wait.

Ran my number through the queue and it estimates I'm around 594. Cleary not since they only have 171 back orders.

Just thought I'd post it here so everyone knows how far off (in this instance anyway) the estimated numbers can be, and maybe it's not as bad as you think.

The thing they have a point on is lack of communication/clarity breeding speculation. There’s a lot of ‘Chinese whispers’ going round and round getting people riled up. There are some questions that could be answered.

What happens behind closed doors, I agree, is often very different to what the customer experiences. But here at OCUK, they're not even trying to deliver an acceptable customer 'experience' from the customers perspective. People aren't asking for their cards 'right now', they're asking for reassurance that they are being treated fairly.........and they can't even get that.

There is indeed a lot of anger on this forum. I'm just trying to inject a little rationality into the proceedings.

That’s good news, didn’t order mine until Saturday. I’m not expecting it’ll be large volumes arriving any time soon though.

Is this in relation to the changing of orders? Other than that I don't see any other behaviour I'd consider unfair.

If there’s no comments on it in the updates thread, then it’s an unknown here. There’s very little talk here about the ASUS cards, which is disappointing as I’ve ordered a TUF
No update on Ventus cards in that thread but at least two have been dispatched today.

Yeah but that checker shows your place in the queue for all makes, look at the top it shows how many have ordered each card. Can't speak for how accurate it is though
