Did the 3950x improve much from the initial batch? Just got one and wondering whether to jump on a 5950x straight away or sit it out for a bit on this 3950x.
LOL dude... this is classic FOMO PC upgrading.Did the 3950x improve much from the initial batch? Just got one and wondering whether to jump on a 5950x straight away or sit it out for a bit on this 3950x.

5800x is it? The 8 core fastest clock speed.
Anyway, percentage wise, how much of an improvement is that going to be over my Sandbridge i7-2600k?
Around 500-550%.

I'll buy that for a dollar.
Your Core i7 2600K is a decade old processor. What exactly do you want to say?![]()

Would you mind expanding on these incredibly scientific terms? They are not ones I am familiar with.Absolutely flipping massive or absolutely ridiculously flipping massive depending on what chip/workload your on about.
I recon about £300~350 as they should still beat 8 core zen 3 chip for core heavy workloads. You might be able to pick up a good deal on the used market though.I've got an X470 and B450 based servers at the mo - I wonder how cheap the current 12 cores might get when Zen3 hits the shelves. Just under 400 right now, and seeing how far the 2700 fell post 3000 series launch - I'm hoping for £250ish..? Sound sane or crazy?![]()

Is the 5000 series out yet? Any release date and costs?
Looking to replace my i7 4790k with 4000 / 5000 series ‘bundle’, mainly for playing Warzone
I have a feeling the bundle will cost more than CPU/RAM/Motherboard though as will need a new soundcard and probably get a new case too. £600 sound do-able for case, soundcard and bundle?
