Not a matter of sticking it to OC. They wouldn't care less if I am a customer going forward or indeed whether or not I buy this 3080 from them or not. The phone call yesterday was enough to confirm that. But yes,a scalper would probably be a better option at this point. I live near Birmingham so buying from OC seemed like the best way to support the local economy/employment as I prefer to do. My local supplier is now not in any danger of losing any of my small amount of business to OC it seems.

In truth I would advise my son that we wait for the AMD launch and the almost inevitable response from nvidia of the 3080 20GB and buy them elsewhere. He currently has a 5700XT so can wait if he needs to. However he has been very excited about the 3080 and currently feels very let down. If he won't wait then I will have to get one from a scalper for him but will endeavour to pursuade him otherwise.
 
understand that times are tough right around the situation of 3080 cards been looking through a thread to answer my question,

I bought a 3080 msi gaming x trio yesterday evening, got my order number and delivery etc in the email but i cant see a queue position in the email. so now i have no idea what sort of time frame im looking at for receiving this card.
Are people getting separate emails with their queue position?

It also says on their Twitter that Overclockers is not a direct customer of EVGA, while other competitors are. What does this mean for us? Less stock coming to Overclockers and their customers? Seems pretty up in the air atm

If that is the case, you haven't left your house since the 90s. Or you have been living under a bridge with the other trolls.

If you had no position in the queue because of a glitch in the ordering system, you wouldn't say anything would you Mr Troll? If OC had refused to resolve the issue for you it would be fine wouldn't it Mr Troll? I am not being dramatic, just chatting with people who aren't trolls. I am not ranting or raving and being completely reasonable.

As I said jog on. If you aren't trolling then there is something wrong with your moral compass.

The queue doesn’t seem massive, it is probably around 200. That said we don’t know how fast the cards will come in. However, he can always cancel if he can find one somewhere else in the meantime.

Nope, ASUS are quiet and there’s nothing listed in the updates thread. Going purely off of what’s listed in there, anyone would think that ASUS are only producing the TUF OC. I imagine they aren’t, of course! But the complete silence is kind of annoying.

Yeah that's very true. I've let him know a rough idea so it's in his hands now what he wants to do
