*** NVIDIA GEFORCE RTX 3080 SERIES STOCK SITUATION - NO COMPETITOR DISCUSSION ***

I'm on the 970's myself so long overdue this upgrade. If your 970 does die on you then give me a shout. It's not ideal but I got a 680 kicking around here gathering dust. It's the dcii cooler so probably cost me more sending it to you than I could sell it for.
Also the overheating issue. Have you tried taking cooler off and re-applying thermal grease. 970 is a mature GPU Tim is probably done with if you never have. Edit quoted wrong post or kind of.

Oh and for those who haven't seen it he also said "Speaking to all board partners production volumes are expecting to ramp up towards end of the end of this month meaning deliveries arriving later this month should be a little better volume wise towards end of October with November increasing again."

I personally think it'll be worth it to wait and play it properly when your 3080 comes, I started control on my 5700xt but decided to wait until I had an Nvidia GPU again.

I have the same card as you and doing the same thing as you. I can't wait to play 4k with ray tracing!

Wish i had any info on what is Gigabyte doing with their card, thinking of just buying off ebay and selling mine once it arrives cause this is madness

DON'T DO IT IT'S NOT WORTH GIVING SCALPERS Satisfaction <caps mean I'm shouting in your face and patients is your motivation young one

Regarding prebuilds surely if someone ordered one it would place them in the same GPU queue as us and therefore they would be waiting until their allocated GPU became available so their build could be built and sent out. That would at least be fair (although I realise this could be unlikely). Although I have realised the card I ordered is such a chonk that I am going to have to change my thick boy rad to a slim to be able to fit it in. Would get a new case but the missus will ask too many difficult questions if I do that.

Im nr bloody 8 on the Gigabyte so i think any kind of shipment i should be good right :( but seems like Gigabyte just dodged all shipments that were meant for OCUK or something see like million on ebay and none here....
