Unfortunately the price expectation of X570 has been set so it won't come down.
Why not? From my pov I'd like new boards.
Expensive boards don't really make sense to me at all. With other components you spend more to get more performance.Oh I don't mind X570 being more expensive but I was just stating my disappointment at seeing an X570 board without a fan which is probably going to be around £4-500, those kind of prices make no sense to me when you can get boards as low as £160.

With motherboards you spend more to... hmm, RGB? To have more plastic spoilers that do nothing? To have 20x USB slots you'll never use? Or to have a motherboard that doesn't overheat like a beatch, which to my mind is a criteria even the cheapest boards should meet.
In 2012 there were tons of good boards <£100. Guess someone will be along shortly to blame it on BrexitManaged to pick the X570 board up for 199 which was about £25 more than a B550.
