What I find funny - these YouTubers generally post a spread of videos with several different claims and people latch onto the ones they want to be true and seemingly forget the ones that weren't (sometimes those videos mysteriously vanish after awhile).
You are completely right, nowadays people can seemingly say anything and people immediately start quoting it as fact instead of weighing up the plausibility vs all of the other various sources of evidence out there. It's classic confirmation bias and the PC enthusiast community is nothing is not varying levels of delusional, mixed with wild optimism, when it comes to their expectations of any new major hardware release. Passion overrides common sense.

I am really hoping AMD produce something good, but to expect the 6900XT to do anything more than compete with the 3080, which is already a fast-as-hell card and Nvidias flagship, is just nuts. By even equalling 3080 performance AMD would be making a big win in terms of progress this generation.
