***Official Apple October 13 @ 18:00 BST iPhone Reveal Thread***

Haven't had an iPhone for about 5 years. My OnePlus 7T is due an upgrade this month. We'll see what this release brings, might end up just sticking with what I have and going sim free.

I’m happy not to hear rumors and to go into every tech presentation blind. I hate rumors they spoil what’s coming.

I used to follow it religiously for some reason but now I usually just check in on the rumours a few weeks before the event. They still do a really nice slick presentation on the day that makes me a bit more hyped for the products but honestly I would be amazed if I will get one of these.

My battery is OK still in the X and its still really fast to the point of never noticing any issues. Biggest problem with it still remains network 4g coverage for me which isn't apples problem and wouldn't be solved by a new phone.

We still don't know what tweaks they have been doing under the hood to things like camera processing.

The mini does appeal but the name mini doesn't. Hopefully it won't be too held back. I've got a Pixel 5 coming this week so will be interesting to compare.

Should have used nano instead. iPhone nano, like the old successful iPod nano.

5.4" 6.1" and 6.7" nice

Im a fan of big phones, but i dont like them being wide. The 6.7" apparently is even wider than the current pro max so I'll just be going for the regular pro instead.

Going to be a great upgrade from this 7 plus im currently using

The pricing screens on the store have gone way for maintenance, including the Macbook Pro. Crossing my fingers either for a spec bumb or price reduction but think it's unlikely.

One can dream :D

They may go for a 10th gen spec bump on the 16.

Yeah, the whole store is down now - I wonder if things like the new iPad Air will just appear today.

I’m happy we won’t have to put up with 30 minutes of clapping and cheering when Apple announce they’ve bumped the price up and removed the charger.

"It's the best screen we've ever put in an iPhone!"
Whoop! Shriek!
"Our fastest iPhone ever!"
Scream! Swoon!
"We think you're gonna love it!"
*Squilch*

I've much preferred the last couple of pre-recorded keynotes. The shouting, whooping etc don't bother me (after all, they are Americans, it's what we expect) but I just think they've been far more professional, snappier (like every Safari release) and more to the point.

Yeah I'm with you on this, the X was truly exceptional. Has lasted 3 years no problem, my only question is will it last 4? I don't want to get halfway then need to replace it and be mid-cycle, because of that I'll probably get a 12 Pro. Must have 120hz though.

Don't see why not. There's plenty of much older iPhones still going strong and which are still surprisingly usable - a 6S isn't that awful an experience even these days.

Agreed. The 11 Pro Max was already pushing it for me so I'm not interested in a phone that's even bigger than that. Hopefully the 12 Pro still has good battery, as the 11 Pro Max was rather excellent in my experience.

I sold the 11 Pro Max a little while ago while values were still high and cleared off my contract since I was furloughed and wanted to save a bit of cash so I've been using a 7 non-plus in the interim. Looking forward to getting Face ID back :)

Based on the leaked images today both pro models have the Lidar sensor at least, need to know if the cameras are the same or not, I’d prefer to stick to non Max size of phone.
