You should be able to find most of the details and prices for PS5 pre-ordering games here: https://www.playstation.com/en-gb/ps5/games/
Thank you!

Tempted to now pre order the digital ps5 games and cancel the disc ones since seeing that UI and how snappy it is I feel digital suits it more.

All them games I want too cost same on store as disc one too ah the decisions

Can't sell a digital game though once you're done with it.

I know which is what's making me away to keeping the disc ones

I just loved how snappy UI was and technically I'll lose some of that by having to get up and swap discs if I'm wanting to chop and change between games depending on what mates are playing

You can fill the monitor but if your device output resolution is different from what the monitor can support on a per pixel basis it will either be squished, bits chopped off or re-scaled to fit in some way (maybe black bars at each end depending on the resolution used). Unless your device outputs the exact resoultion of the monitor you are losing image (the top/bottom are squished or not visible) or stretching to fit (upscaling) one way or the other. The only real way to be 100% sure how UW will work with the PS5 is actually plugging one in and seeing what video modes are available once it has detected the display, i personally think it will be fixed to max 4k (or will maybe do 3440*1440 if you are lucky) for performance reasons. Sadly i expect an image in the centre of the monitor and black bars either side from my 5120*1440, even with a lower resolution UW the image will not be 1-1 pixel mapped unless the PS5 outputs the precise resolution of the monitor so will work, but will not be as detailed as a true 4k display.
Yeah I accept I'll have the black bars, but hopefully 4k into monitor which will then downscale to 1440p will be better than 4k downscaled to 1080p by the PS5, then upscaled by the monitor to 1440p. I have a 1080p native screen to so can test both to see which is clearer.

Edit: Would be nice if a review of the Pulse headset is out before launch, although UK folk will have a week to play with it before the console launches.

I have a mix on the ps4 pro, I tend to have 4/5 digital games on there at anyone time.

Something like COD that I'm likely to be playing for a year and jumping on for 30 mins here and there with friends I tend to buy digital.

Something like FF7 remake, The last of us etc I tend to buy on disc as I know I'm going to leave that disc in the console until it's finished and will then likely never touch it again and it gets sold on.

I like having the option, I just sold a load of older disc games (and some newer like ghost of tsushima) and manged to get just over £100 back which will go towards my PS5.

Yeah I did same with PS4

When it came to selling due to games I had and consol I got back £300 this was month ago now so it has benefits long term too.

Just think all the new features they do seem to assume you have the digital games not physical

Yeah just sold my xbox one x as well, I still need to finish the last chapter of FF7 remake and will be selling my ps4 pro in next few weeks.

Think in total I will have gotten about £500 back from selling games and consoles.

I was digital throughout the PS4 gen. It meant waiting long times for games to go on sale. I ended up spending £1000 on PSN Store which of course none can be returned to you and it "only" got me about 70 games. 2 of which I regret purchasing - Wasteland 2 and ME: Andromeda. But the other 68, I'm really looking forward to seeing how well they run (or not) on PS5. I'll have to play those older PS4 games whilst I wait for the PS5 games to drop in price. (Although two are getting free upgrades - Witcher 3 and Borderlands 3.)

Only to start with though, the prices at release for physical titles will start to come down over time and the prices will drop quicker after release too, compared to the digital versions.

I just don't have it in me, if I want a game it's normally with me on day one or soon after.

It's the games I wasn't too sure about that normally get picked up in a sale to give them a try.

Yeah, there are some titles I'm still waiting to buy like Ghost of Tsushima, Spider-man and Days Gone. But the latter has appeared on PS Now before the price dropped low enough for me to buy it. So I guess that's saved me a few bob. :D

I'm feeling a bit conflicted about what to do game wise as the only launch title that appeals is demon's souls and, try as I might, I can't convince myself to press the buy button whilst the price is in the £60-70 range! If it drops sub £50 I'll consider it!

The way things are looking I'll just be playing astro bot at launch! Plenty on PS4 titles in my library that I can play on it at least! Cyberpunk 2077 is out the same day and I'm honestly more interested in that.

Perhaps I'm being a bit daft bothering to pick one up at launch given I'll just be running ps4 games on it in the main as far as I can see! Hopefully some of the free to play games like cod: warzone are updated for it as well.

Why not spend £10.99 on boomerang rentals and just try it.

I probably wouldn't have pre-ordered one if it didn't also work with PS4 games, to be honest, as there are still a good few titles from this generation I need to get to (several of which are on the PS+ Game Collection, handily enough).

Watch Dogs Legion will probably be my first next-gen title, and I'll have Cyberpunk too which will hopefulyl benefit in at least some small way by running on the faster hardware.

I didn't realise game rental stuff was still a thing! Reminds me of lovefilm dvd rentals back in the day!

Thanks for the suggestion though. I'll look into that as there's hopefully a better option than paying £70 for a single game!

A lot of people aren't they are pretty much the only people doing it I gather. If I keep the PS5, I'm going to sub to get Ac/Watchdogs as they are play once and done games for me.

Yeah, Watchdogs Legions is one I wouldn't ever entertain buying but I would like to try it out. I still haven't played the first two even though they have been given away free on PC.

Last playstation I owned was a PS3, borrowed a ps4 to play RDR2 but other than that there's loads of ps4 games to keep me occupied. Tbh I haven't really thought much about what games to get at launch!
