*** NVIDIA GEFORCE RTX 3090 SERIES STOCK SITUATION - NO COMPETITOR DISCUSSION ***

Moved to 324 in the queue for the Strix OC.

Amd have their big announcement on the 28th, leaked (rumoured, not confirmed) results have the 6800XT beating the 3080 in rasterization and 22% slower than the 3080 in ray tracing, though still ahead of the 2080ti in RT.

However it will also have 16gb of GDDR6 onboard ram.

If that comes in at a decent price point, I could be tempted to jump ship to team red, something I haven't done since the Radeon 9800 Pro days.

Nvidia could be in for a bit of a kicking.

I’m a bit puzzled cause I haven’t received an email update today and at first I thought only people that actually their queue number changes get one, but I seen people being emailed even if only just to confirm the same queue number. Any reason some do receive emails while others don’t ?
(Yes I’ve done the usual spam/junk folder check)

I am in no way convinved by the PR nonsense from Nvidia that this is just exceptional demand that they underestimated. Yields must be terrible.

Excellent, thanks for keeping us updated. I got no where with ASUS so this looks promising.

Unfortunately, I got the final messages through this morning - both Nvidia & ASUS cannot help because the promotion eligibility is valid only between Nvidia and the Retailer / E-tailer. This means that since Overclockers received 1000 codes, that's all they will get and can't get any more. Simply if I wanted a code, I should have purchased a 3080 back on the 17th of Sept and hope that I was within the first 1000 to receive a code. There's no other way to obtain one at all which sucks.

Nvidia Customer Care stated this:

I'd like to explain how this game promotion works. It is a combined effort from NVIDIA Marketing and etailers/retailers. We distribute these codes to the retailer and these game promotional codes are solely provided by the retailer and is only provided by the participating etailers/retailer.

For this reason, unfortunately NVIDIA don't have codes to issue and sorry for that.

So, we're all **** out of luck basically. It wouldn't be half as bad if it wasn't roughly £140 worth of freebies.

Very poor considering Nvidia are making a lot more profit on the 3090 it would seem.
Well moved one place in the Strix 3090 queue down to 18 due to cancellation

Maybe the dry spell this week is the calm before the storm? hopefully next week there's a substantial delivery of Strix cards. I would love to say that a large delivery of cards shipped by boat is on the horizon but I read it takes between 4-6 weeks? So considering Golden week only just finished and a week of manufacturing that squarely puts that theory in the grave.

I also ordered water block from EK for strix 3090, saying should be with me on 5th Nov so let's see
EKWB responded to my ticket.....they expect it to ship on the 13th Nov now.

They also wont ship the rest of the order without me paying shipping twice, as neither part of the order will be over the 250 euro threshold for free delivery......even though it's them who have delayed my order by over a month

On the 21st, so obviously nowhere close to getting it, but it would be nice to know how large the queue is :D
I ordered mine 17th Oct and I'm 28, Cancelled my launch day Trinity non OC which was at 112. Mate you are way closer to some poor sods who ordered the bigger brands on launch day.

Yeah It's a disgrace really as the cards are still being advertised with the free game etc, there is no goodwill from nvidia as they know demand is so high and will make sh**loads anyway. Those free goodies could have temped people from buying AMD, sounds like a case of false advertising to me.
