Bit of a noob question but do you need to remove the sticker from an NVME drive if you are using a heatsink with it?

I'll be switching to an NVME drive for my new build & the x570 motherboard I'll be using has heatsink built into the board for the drives.
The logical side of me says of course you should remove the sticker, however googling it gives very mixed responses.

Whats the knowledge base of Overclockers forum view?

From the reviews i seen having a heatsink can make a huge difference as they throttle their speed when they get hot

Yes it helps, that's why they exist. But it's also not a requirement for them to operate. Apart from some of the PCIE4 drives that actually come with one.
