*** NVIDIA GEFORCE RTX 3080 SERIES STOCK SITUATION - NO COMPETITOR DISCUSSION ***

Think you've just gotten the wrong numbers. On the 20th they had recieved in total 55 3080 Trios since the 17th of September. None have arrived since then. A large (75-100) batch left MSI last Friday, which at the earliest would have arrived end of this week, but seems to still be enroute, and a small (10-30) one should leave tomorrow, and arrive end of next week/early the following one.

Ok so if we go with those numbers instead, how between Oct 2nd and now did i only move 11 positions in the queue... with "55 3080 trios" received?

3-5 working days

When my Xtreme doesn't drop next week thats when Im putting in for my refund, got Xmas presents and kiddys xbox etc to pay for as well, so the Gigabyte card money is going to a 6800 + 5900, more FPS from the CPU + GPU uplift together for around the same money.

I think this is good confirmation that most if not everyone in here will be going AMD on November. Who the **** is going to be playing Cyberpunk on old ass hardware.... LOL Not me.

done that too. Did 30000 miles up the M25 and back for 3 years in all weather. Must have been insane!
Riding in the snow is fun right? haha Jesus too many moments to list in 20 years riding.... my at the time wife made me sell the ZX10R when she saw a tank cam doing 193 of Creg-ny-Baa on the Island, so got rid of the wife and replaced her with a panigale 1299 (turned out cheaper!) ;-)

Well no we technically pay for it
not if we havn't given them any money or if we've had a refund. by that argument you could also say we pay for their office chairs too lmao.

its their forum, their rules. This is fair enough but i do think the not even mentioning competitors is extreme. They should really change it to not promoting competitors. They've even added some to the swear filter. It says a lot about the company when they enforce a rule like that so aggressively :D

I can imagine people being kicked out of OCUKs building for mentioning a competitor within earshot of staff :P

I know this is the 3080 thread but yesterday I had an MSI 3090 in my shopping cart for next day delivery and decided it wasn’t worth the extra money. Beginning to regret that decision at the moment. Still, they are getting cards in 2 or 3 times a weeks so I may buckle next week and go the 3090 route and no MSI cards seem to be turning up here.

even with heated grips I had to put my hands ( gauntlets on ) in the engine whenever I stopped! Biking in the winter is......interesting

Hi. To run a UK pure raffle needs the appropriate license from your local authority (it's a gambling commission legality) . There are problem gamblers, under-agers etc. out there you need to handle properly too. Also, taking payments securely is tough. I don't think OCUK would want to run that for you. Formslly assciating with a real charity as a non-profit can help, but then they are very desparate not to to anything that brings them into disrepute either.

Now loophole time. If you ask a question, no matter how easy, then it's not gambling. Instead it's now a competition, which isn't considered gambling. Still, the other problems remain.

If you are really keen to do it for charity, then I suggest you pick a random from this forum who you know wants that card. Tell them it's about to go onto {Auction site} (give it a unique name) and do the trade there for it's regular cost plus any auction cost, buyout. You are both under Auction/Paypal protection, and when completed give the cash to the charity directly.

Thanks for the reply. I would be running the raffle through an approved medium that allows for passing profits to the charity. They hold the necessary licences. I just want to know if it’s allowed and if it is I’ll set it up. If not then I guess I’ll have to do something else with it.

I mean regret? Honestly 3090 is daft at this point with the 6900 December 8th? If you cant wait get a 6800XT with water cooling looking like it will be faster than a 3090 anyway.

I would definitely be on the AMD train if I didn't have a good Hardware Gsync screen and the cost of a newer better one would be more than I can justify.

I was almost tempted earlier when I saw the Zotac Trinity was in stock here, but when I really think about dropping nearly a grand more for 10% more performance over a 3080, especially when the 6900XT will be about for around a grand, I slap myself in the face and tell myself to just be patient.
