Luckily I paid the 25 quid before buying and got the auction sheet before going to view the car (150 miles away lol).

I really do like the older Evos though. I know the 8 and 9s are probably as or more capable but you cant beat the chunky ruggedness of the old school 90s motors. Enjoy it!!

hopefully I’ll get some seat time this year before the weather turns. I was always more in favour of the 8, 9 but the V has won me over. It encapsulates everything that was both right and wrong with 90s car culture, and that’s before you drive it lol

I've true and I always felt like the early evos really encapsulate the standard 4 door sedan with a load of scoops and kit thrown at it (plus really good running gear).

Whereas the later ones are more like sporty car design with less bulbous and less extreme kits applied.

I love the 90s though for that reason.

Yeah, I can’t wait to start running it in. Weather is shocking now however, I’m desperately trying to not tardy the underside.
 
Car back, drive is super smooth and feels strong even with the base map. Covered best part of 200 miles.

Currently set to 1 bar @ 360BHP. Once run in, should expect anywhere in the region of 450-480 :)

Sweet motor! I've always had a thing for evos - around when the V / VI / VII came out I would've sold body parts to have one.
 
Since getting the V back I've managed to put about 750 miles on it, so nearly ready for more boost next year. Absolutely love it to bits, and looking forward to seeing what it feels like with the hybrid turbo properly wound up. I cannot bring myself to drive it in the rain, so it'll be tucked up till Spring!

Hey man I brought my dream car this year too.
Found a really clean Evo V in white but mines a gsr rather than the rs.
I use mine as a daily though, but I'm keeping it as clean as possible and garaged or covered over and I love it so much!
My brother also has a Evo V but he's managed to bag himself a rare one in Red!

I have one question for you... do you have any idea what brand/make your spoiler blade is? I've been trying to find one of those twin blades for ages :D

Good on you for dailying it, I couldn’t do that to this one it’s way too clean underneath!

The wing blade is an ARC twin blade. They’re rare as hens teeth, I’ve been offered 3k for it.

Time to be removing it and asking a local company to fab some up :p

Missed this the first time round mate fantastic looking car and whenever Ive been temptede with an Evo its this one in white haha

My bother is interested in importing something interesting lol any pointers or links to the services you used?

lol thanks. I have thought about getting a stock blade and selling it - if it helps me from having to sell the car it's a no brainer, I suppose!

Mine had already been imported but I'd recommend Torque GT if you're serious about doing it. Guy Francis Specialist Cars also. I woudln't do it myself, too much hassle and the car needs to be inspected before crossing.

just get some local company to fab up some replicas :)
As long as the demand is there could be a canny chunk of cash from what you've said above.
Obviously clearly state they are reps when selling :)

I think for a quick sale it'd need to be around the 2k mark but for a chunk of metal it seems mad not to. It's just all part of the allure for this car as it has some tasty parts on it.
