I wonder when / if we'll see a Last of Us 2 Remastered as the original's remaster came out within a year and had a similar experience of being at the end of PS3 life and beginning of PS4.
I would love to play them both through again on PS5, but not until Last of Us 2 has something fancy done to it, like improved textures or perhaps even ray tracing, rather than just the loading time increase that's been mentioned.

I have Sackboy, Cold War and Dirt 4 downloading on PS4 before I get my PS5... I'm guessing the "upgrade" will just unlock a PS5 version of the game and will need to be re-downloaded again.

That seems to be how it'll work; if a game has a specific PS5 version (e.g. Watch Dogs and CoD) it'll be classed as a different game and would need to be installed/downloaded again, whereas if a PS4 game is patched to take advantage of some of the extra power of Game Boost mode it'll continue to run as a PS4 game using the same files but obviously won't be able to take full advantage of the PS5 architecture.

My mates just said HZD 2 and next god of war are going to be on the PS4 as well. Surely thats a backwards step. Cattering to a old consoles surely will hold back the engine.

Not necessarily, they can be developed as 2 different versions.

And you have to remember about the millions of PS4 consoles still out there, no matter how many PS5's they sell in the first few months the PS4 will outnumber it for a while. You can't just ignore that customer base.

I reckon PS4 will outnumber PS5 user base for at least 18 months to 2 years.

There are what 115 million PS4's sold? Yeah, that's going to take at least a couple of years to swing the other way. They can't ignore all those potential software sales. How long was it before things like FIFA/COD stopped being released on PS360? Just checked and Black Ops III released on both 2 years into the PS4's lifetime. 2016 was the first time it was only on the next gen - Infinite Warfare. 3 years.

I know consoles sold doesn't equate to consoles being used, but there are over 100 million PS4's out there, do you genuinely expect within 2 years for more than half of those users to have bought a PS5?

Appreciate many of those will be duplicate purchases etc.

Just noticed ShopTo offer Klarna and Zip for splitting payment. It’s quite tempting as it helps take the edge off £50-60 a game.

But are they really interest free? Any catches at all?

I've used Klarna a few times, pretty good service, auto takes payment or you can pay off manually. It's a nice option at this time of the year when things are tiiiiight.

Well yeah but if they had that mentality they would still be making games for the PS3. You've got to move on sometime.

Is Miles Morales the same price on disc as digital? Looks to be £50 on PSN and actually £51.99 on Amazon, so cheaper digitally?!
I think its that price because it's more of a Lost Legacy rather than an Uncharted 4 kind of game. I'm getting it but it's not going to be a 20+ hour game. It would be £70 if it was a normal game.

The only catch is the hard search on your credit file but if you aren't applying for any big finance things soon it doesn't really matter, plus I don't think one really makes much difference to your credit score.
