OcUK Zen3 review thread

CS:GO seems to really love the new architecture for some reason.

in actual games they are still slower than intel cpus out now. hmmm......think some porky pies were told.

Only in Red Dead 2 according to the gamer's nexus one I posted.

They said they'll be doing more of the videos over the day so the 5600x will be the one I'd be more interested in seeing them do (and am in no rush will wait for the GN vid rather than some other place).

if you look at the nexus game benchmarks for literally every res the amd cpus are behind intel cpus. so while great and without cherry picking bias benchmarks they arent as fast in single thread as made out. intel are still better for games unless you going to use that csgo benchmark or some other cherry picked one.

5600 basically is 10500 to 10600 performance. often with the 10600 winning especially in games.

Give us an answer, how much faster is a 10900k compared to a 9900k? Cos im sat here looking at a 9900k drop in over my 9600k rather than replacing board and cpu with a 5600x and AM4

haha you just gunna swap your 9600 in and take that HAHAHGHAHA
Tbh i could swap anything in there and they wouldn't even know... i mean people here at work call monitors.. tv screens and desktops.. cpu's... i just laugh and play along. They also get mixed up with RAM and HDD's... they call them both memory

Hardware Unboxed got em equal over 11 games, so so much for them being faster than Intel for gaming, they've just matched the buggers.

Still, its better nate than lever :D

3%

9900K is 4% faster than a 9600k.

I'd keep the 9600k if you're only gaming.

So the games that gamers nexus tested with the 5950X and a 3080 were...

Civ VI: AMD wins
Red Dead: Intel wins
3 Kingdoms: AMD wins
Division 2: AMD wins
Shadow OTTR: AMD wins
F1: AMD wins

Are you talking about the HEXUS review where they used a 2080Ti and an i3 was matching an i9 at 4k settings. Even in that review the list was topped by the 5950X in every game at every res until the weird 4k tests with the 2080Ti.

i linked the review https://www.techpowerup.com/review/amd-ryzen-7-5800x/16.html

basically they arent as quick at single thread as said. people will who amd biased just post csgo benchmark or some obscure ones. over main big games its clear to see they still arent faster than old intel cpus or current ones. they almost identical just not as fast. they are good but with price gouging and current intel cpus. they just not winning.
