I'm confused, why are these supposed to be so amazing?

I checked gaming benchmarks and 10700k is still ahead?

So why is anyone even bothering to be obsessively trying to get one, sure at least they are near to it. But it's not the end of the world if you don't get one, just save time and go buy a 10700k.

Looking at Linus benchmarks the 10700k is miles behind? (2:59 onwards).

When I saw the prices of these new chips at launch I just went with a 3600.
I’m also done with the stress of ordering new hardware for many years : PS5 and 3700

Every OCUK order is in a queue. Gibbo even said they don't have stock and they're expecting some next week. OCUK don't have the buying power like their competition.

Gibbo's definition's are
Very small = Less than 10 units
Small = 10-30 units
OK = approx 50 units
Large = 75-100 units
Very large = 100+
Dream = 250+

He's expecting between 100-250 of each by next week.
He's literally explained those in another thread earlier today and his definition doesn't match yours - he said "very large" is 250+ units.

I've used techpowerup since forever, explain what is wrong with their benchmarks?

It is out of line with a significant proportion of other reviews.

The author when questioned on why his benchmark scores are so much lower than other reviews replied:

I wish I knew, mentioned in the conclusion

So yea, perhaps not the best review to pick for those wanting a real comparison and without an agenda.

Well this hasn't been a particularly enjoyable day. Had 2 carts from other retailers crap out on me, one got all the way to the end then once I'd put in my payment details it was apparently out of stock - no idea why putting something in your basket doesn't reserve... Then on here I saw the magic 10+ in stock, process went through like a dream however it turns out I'm in some pre-order queue. Even went and ordered a bunch of other components from somewhere else as it is a full rebuild I'm going, hopefully I can cancel them before they ship.

And the rest of the retailers...and AMD. And AMD have all the console orders over the next few years. Good time to be an AMD shareholder.
Ya definitely. I mean if OCUK sold thousands of these little poppers on day 1 launch. Imagine what the aggregate total will be on global sale. OCUK is not a large retailer by any stretch of imagination.
