Managed to order a 5950x from a competitor that's named after a popular Indian food.

Hopefully will arrive tomorrow.

Although I still don't understand how these retailers are unable to make their online stores scale and not crash under demand. They're really letting their customers down and providing a really bad experience. Shameful.

For some mad reason, I ordered the 5900x from OCUK, I'm now in this queue (presumably we will get position numbers soon) and also the GTX 3080 queue too! (have been for a few weeks)

If this is anything like the 3080 queue, we are in for a world of pain

Having seen OC take peoples money since 17th Sep for a 3080 and crap out with poor comms ever since - thousands still waiting with no ETA was enough reason to shop elsewhere for my 5900x today. Ordered just after 2pm and despatched already. Having been a long time OC customer the way they have managed these launches has put a lot of people off. I hope you're not waiting too long and you get regular updates on stock!

So some people are saying there's no stock and others are saying theirs has shipped... so I guess there must be stock.
I guess it depends how much stock there was to start with as to how many "very large amounts" we need to wait for, and how often the "very large amounts" are coming.

How ? I was watching the site since 11am I managed to put 5900x to basket but no stock anywhere??

is it me or is the 5600x too pricey? I dont think 6 cores is worth this much imho, im more tempted by a 4750g 8 cores + igpu

also people who are looking to build a full system, have a good look theres plenty of stock for 3070 3080 . 5600x 5800x 5900x 5950x from system builders at decent prices in stock
for example 5600x £294 with full or even part system for example without gpu/ storage
