Imagine if apple released new products like AMD and Nvidia
I literally said the same thing earlier! Apple sells *millions* of iphones on launch day, all of which have to be sent to retailers and stores all over the world and all over the country, and yet I don't remember anyone ever being worried they might not get their new iphone on launch day. It can be done, but AMD/Nvidia just don't care enough.

Or it could possibly be that the revenues due to volume of Iphones are around 6000 times larger. Wonga makes the world go round.

Doesn't seem like it's worth an upgrade from 3700x at 1440p? Need to see other results to see the minimums maybe, otherwise there mostly doesn't seem to be much in it.. need a new GPU, damn Nv for skimping on vram.

Numerous? Surely they can only change the time to 2pm once? I'm only arguing semantics because I'm rather ticked off. And... Yeah, neglecting to change the topic title isn't good enough really.

This almost caught me out too - one would assume the forum linked to a store planning to sell the product would update the title to be correct.

got my r5 5600x payment confirmed at 13:56 must be one of the first if not the first had no delay and went straight through seems like a i got pretty lucky with what people are saying.

Stock went live couple minutes before 2pm, added the 5900X to basket, stormed through checkout, paypal, and then kept getting endless timeouts, about 2:20pm it finally loaded but with an error saying "your basket is empty". By the time I added it to my cart and finally managed to check out again it was 2:39pm. So who knows where I am in the queue, hopefully close enough to the front so the CPU actually ships next week, loads of people placed orders pretty late.

Similar story here. Even though I had the thing in my cart by 2pm, it decided to take it out of the cart because I'd been too slow checking out, even though I was actively trying to do so the whole while.
I had 7 different stores open, not a single one could handle the load. Its crazy how at the end of 2020 we're still getting this, its like no-one has heard of auto-scaling or knows how to implement a queuing system.

In the end I got an order stamped 2:20 but nothing to say it shipped, nothing to say it won't, just limbo.

I ordered elsewhere, I was never going to pay the ridiculous OcUK Tax/Gibbo's car gofundme, not that it seems to have worked out much better though :p

Got through the order 'fine', if extremely slowly, had to authorise via the Monzo app but the payment is showing as gone/accepted and I got the initial email at 14:11 for a 5900X, but nothing since, the order isn't showing up in my account (made after checking out as a guest) so yeah... not exactly holding out much hope... I'll chase it up tomorrow if I can't check the order status at least.
