RYZEN 5000 SERIES NOW ONLINE - 5950X, 5900X, 5800X & 5600X COMING NOV 5TH AT 5PM **NO COMPETITORS**

Made the mistake of thinking 5PM meant 5PM and showed up at 16:30 to end up pre-ordering. Thankfully OCUK took my cash straight away so they'll be alright. Starting to wonder if i'll be able to finish building my machine by the 10th of December.

Not only does the title STILL say 5PM, but the so does the original post in the thread with the catchy 555 slogan. It convinced me that it definitely was at, umm, y'know 5PM and that my calendar was marked correctly, but NO, perish the thought! I should've been continually reading the entire thread for "numerous" updates. Away with ya.

So when are these coming back in stock? Only way i can see to get one now is by buying a board and CPU bundle, then likely taking a small loss on the board by selling it.

Same, I turned up just before 5 saw that I'd missed the event by 3 hours and now I'm miles deep into another pre order queue because it appears everyone else is telepathic and knows 5 means 2.

Wtf was that about? Jesus. I don't know how these stores and manufacturers can wind their customers up more at this point, its like its a competition.

..Or you could just grow up and have some patience.

Christ Almighty, what a debasing spectacle its been to witness the sheer level of child like tantrums being thrown over things as inconsequential as CPU's & GPU's in the last 2mths.

If not getting a shiny new toy on day one is all you have to worry about right now, you should be dropping to your knees in gratitude, not crying about it.

That’s the most childish level of thinking I have ever seen, just because you’re struggling in your life doesn’t mean others have to too, some people can actually achieve some success and can expect to have a simple product shipped on time like a normal customer, you’re the one being childish here, lashing with pain.

It was a simple statement, nowhere was i "crying about" anything. I have no clue where you got that from my short post.

But if you want to be condescending go and have an argument with someone else, not interested in that nonsense.

It will be end of the month before the next consignment ships, most etailers are saying the same thing. a lot of chips were kept back for system builds of course.

Unfortunately only a 5800x the sad part was there was plenty of stock around still when i finished my order but honestly thought securing an order whilst it still showed stock for a good amount of time after would result in an actual product beign delivered in exchange for taking my money. We really do get done over in this industry, i think its the only one where you spend so much and have to fight so much to get what you pay for.
If it shows in stock then people will be more likely to order even though it ends up being pre-order.

I also got the pre-order ETA 20th Nov last night (5900X) even though I got my confirmation email at 14.04!

So I've now ordered from the cpu/motherboard company. Still plenty of good deals especially if you need a new motherboard (i'm coming from intel)

I’ve given up on a new build missed the launch by an hour or so may aswell have missed it by a week given the demand, gunna cancel my 3080 order Later to, I think it’s a blessing in disguise the lack of availability as I’ve really evaluated wether I need a new pc running a 1080ti and 8600k and it’s running fine for what I’m doing,if it ain’t broke why fix it.

Very sensible and exactly what I'm doing with a 3600 and Vega 56

I will upgrade but I'm not paying over RRP or playing russian roulette with my money I'm sorry but the whole situation is a mugs game and the lack of patience is astounding although it does make for some entertaining reading

I would advise anyone that can do to just wait it out until things normalise, don't feed the situation any further and let people who need the parts for builds who don't have a pc get them

Doing this will better for everyone in the long run, there will be no reason to gouge, you'll feel better about it because you won't end up in the situation where you've paid and you don't know what's happening, you'll pay the RRP and you won't be giving the manufacturers and etailors reasons to keep raising prices over time

pretty annoyed with another awful launch of hardware. got my order in at 14:09 only to find i missed the boat with the 5800x. i received confirmation that i was on the pre order list at 12:45. so pee'd off right now was the final bit needed for my build and now i need to wait the best part of a month.

Hope I don't get into a ore order queue. My order was received at 14:56
