RYZEN 5000 SERIES NOW ONLINE - 5950X, 5900X, 5800X & 5600X COMING NOV 5TH AT 5PM **NO COMPETITORS**

I ordered a 5900X at roughly 14:45 yesterday and I distinctly remember the button showing pre-order. Though strangely it's showing that my order has been shipped...

Got a tracking number and everything (though the email says it wont show any tracking info until 19:00 the same business day it was generated, which was 00:02 this morning)
Wonder if people tried elsewhere first due to the price and how slow the 3080 has been.

Just been given a queue position by OC - 255.. Will wait until they ship another batch out tomorrow to see how many they're getting through but fingers crossed it comes quick.

Out of interest, I've only just seen the 5600X has it's Thermal Solution (PIB) down as the 'Wraith Stealth'.. Perhaps naively, i'd done a quick google and seen a PC Gamer headine that just said "AMD's high-end Ryzen 5000 CPUs don't come with coolers because they're 'optimised for enthusiasts'" so when considering my build, i'd incorporated a CPU cooler (either Dark Rock Pro 4 or Scythe Mugen 5)

Do you guys think i'll still need to go for a better cooler, or will the wraith handle the job?
As long as you don't overclock you will be absolutely fine. 5600X is "only" 65W TDP(88W boost) so the stock cooler shouldn't have any issues with it. Might get a little loud under load though, it's a small fan.

I had the same situation, product showed in stock, added to cart and checked out, I got the confirmation just after 2pm which stated estimated date as 6th and a second update showing the 6th followed by an email later in the evening stating I'm a preorder with an excpected date of the 20th, I get the demand is high and sites struggle with the traffic however it's the conflicting information that irriates me.

Most of this comes from wanting to decouple your stock system from your web front end for security reasons. The downside is that if you get orders in faster than updates are polled from web front to back office it literally cant count fast enough to give the right information. This isnt something you can just make faster either, especially if its for events that only happen a few days a year. Stock systems are EXPENSIVE. Crazy money.

You'll be right at the front of the queue anyway, those who suffered with websites dying during the checkout process got hit hardest. If I'm guessing the retailer correctly it went to the 20th as soon as it went out of stock, so that's their next expected delivery. I imagine it took a lot more orders than they ever intended so people whose order confirmation went through even 15 minutes later (for whatever reason) could be multiple deliveries behind you.

Just got an email saying I'm in queue number 46 for the 5600x, not entirely sure how to interpret this number in terms of time it'll take to be shipped and shipment wave. But turns out mine was a preorder after all. Wish it could be more clearly communicated by OCuk
You're getting it next week, very large delivery incoming for next week besides 5950x I believe, very large means 150+

where did you see this? I believe it was only 100 being delivered next week according to gibbo

Hi there

Most crazy CPU launch ever, we have sold over 2000 units already!

In short:
5950X - Small amount due next week, around 300 sold
5900X - Very large amount due end of next week, 1000 sold nearly.
5800X - Very large amount due in around 10 days, 500 sold
5600X - Very large amount due in around 10 days, 500 sold.

All being well all those who have ordered today before 5pm should have a CPU by end of this month apart from potentially 5950X which may take until end of December to clear.

HOWEVER, it is day one, AMD and its master distributors will update me next week on shipments, but volumes are much better than on GPU's so people should be waiting not too long, approx 2-4 weeks.

Thanks for your orders, our warehouse is doing its best but of course with lockdown also this week levels of orders have increased by 50% as ordering goes crazy during lock down.

In the other stock thread Gibbo has defined "very large" as "250+" units.

Anyone know, without naming names, if there are places to pre-order a 5950x for £750? I've not found any.
I don't mind sitting in a queue so much.....but not for £800 that OcUK are charging.

Gonna wear this free facemask when I'm installing my 5900X. Arrived 30 mins ago :D

So......damn.........jealous :D

I'm 132 in the queue for the 5900x, I was refreshing the heck out of 4 sites at 2pm yesterday, had a 5900x in the basket on two websites only for them to go down!

Ahh well, hopefully not too long to wait, I have an MSI X570 Tomahawk and 32gb of Crucial Ballistix 3600 ram waiting for their new friend to come home.

Out of chance I happened to come to the site around 3pm and ended up ordering it immediately. And I was immediately placed in a queue because there was no stock. 2 hours before the official launch, people were already on pre-orders. If they did have stock it was minimal and they are scumbags for releasing it ahead of the official launch.
Yeah, I know, big boys crying for their toys but I NEED THE DAMN THING FOR WORK AND YOUR ARE SCREWING WITH ME!.

Official launch was 2pm, might be worth clarifying your incorrect information before whining.
(Yes we all know the thread says 5pm, but it was stated in another thread it would be 2pm, inline with every other seller)

How would he clarify his information, when he's just looked at a post from an OcuK member of staff stating 5pm? Why would you read that, and assume it was not accurate?
This is why so many people are peeved with this post. It was copy pasted into another post too in a different part of the forum, but updated with the correct time.....why would you not edit your original post too at that point....
Just shoddy work, that's peeved people off.

EDIT: Actually, other thread says 5pm too.

Hah, got the same components sitting and waiting but for a 5600X instead. Also got a nice little Sabrent Rocket 4.0 waiting. Unfortunately for me my "pre-order" isn't due untill 30th of Nov...

The person said "Official" time, the official time as stated by AMD and most other sellers was 2pm, if ocuk was stating 5pm then the onus is on the user to check whether that's the case or not as it doesn't make sense.

I can see it both ways, but if I hear there's an official AMD launch at 2pm, and a retailer is selling it from 5pm, I don't see why I'd doubt that.
Anyway, I'm just saying people are rightly peeved with the incorrect information in from OcUK staff in both threads.

I'm just gutted I was all ready at 13:50, then stuff at work kicked off and I completely missed the 2pm time :O Doh!

I get it, it's just boring to watch these threads full of manbabies whining that an extremely high demand product was, omg you guys.... IN HIGH DEMAND.
It's fine when it's just because a website becomes unresponsive, etc, but the claim of it being sold three hours before official time is just factually incorrect.

I wanted a 5600, but was too late. The 5800 was still showing in stock, so i stumped up the extra and placed my order.
Really ****** off to recieve an email advising me I'm 123 in the Q!!!!!
It wasn't pre oerder when I paid

I think you have missed the boat, now more preorders now.

You’ll have to lube up, bend over and take Overchargers prices now.
