Was looking to build a new PC after waiting what feels like forever, this xmas... But just seen the price gouging going on here, no chance OCUK, I shall be taking the remainder of my order elsewhere too, basically a full System, even monitor....sick of your ****** treatment towards customers, your "free" loyal forum member delivery means **** all when you charge so much more per just a single CPU, don't even wanna imagine what you will do with the 6XXX series cards when they launch...

I doubt you’ll be waiting that long, OCUK are one of the few places taking back orders. There will be stock dropping all over the internet all the tim. Even if you don’t get one others in the queue might and leave. Some people seem to have an order in with multiple retailers when they only need one which just adds to the issue.

The CPUs are shipping in volume (hundreds per SKU per retailer) and the next big shipment appears to be the 20th.

There are even 3080 in stock this morning at a few places at non scalped prices. There gone now but the point is stock is dropping all the time.

Just don’t be under any illusion on the 6800/900, that will sell out in seconds no matter how many they have. Every man and his dog in the ASUs 3080 TUF queue will be trying to buy.:p
 
This has probably been answered in a past post but I can't see it.

When is the next lot of stock due in for a 5600x does anyone know?

Wait - you can buy a bundle on OCuk store and have the order filled because 'they are in stock'?

Seriously? So a £3000 order is left in the queue whilst a quick £900-1200 order is filled straight away because of an arbitrary 'bundle' concept?

Maybe I'm just an idiot but this infuriates me.

LOL you think thats bad check this well known supplier (I removed all identifying content from the picture so retailer is not identified), the question is now who is worst the scalpers or the retailers or are they one of the same ? :-

I warned people right at the start of this thread and so did others but were laughed at.. reality is welcome to 2020 where a £750 item is now over £900+ on retailers sites and even worse by the scalpers on other sales sites. OCUK is actually cheap for the 5000 series so far compared to others.

Christ - the queue time might be killer but at least I didn't pay scalp prices.

A lot of people are saying it's just quicker to not pre-order but I don't think I'd have the patience to scour the web looking for stock and buying an entirely new rig piece-by-piece from different retailers.

I've just ordered a 3600. I'll wait 6 months. While I won't save money over all, I'll skip the scalping.

Will save some decent mental health points though, by not obsessing.
 
my 5800x just arrived :D

Now i just have to wait for my motherboard.

BTW when does the 15 posts per 24hrs go away... incredibly annoying to be blocked off half way through a conversation
 
Wait.... There are people getting told what position they are in queue? When do we find that out? I ordered On Saturday, and didn't get it included in my order confirmation, or separate email. Any idea when I'd find out?

Email every Friday I think. You can probably call or message them and find out
