Well issues occurs with psu and motherboard out of the case on a bit of card with nothing but ram and power and one usb Device connected
So my guess is the usb controllers is goosed
As ours voltages are are near perfect 12.006v and 5.012v so assuming there's not some sort of massive ripple/EMI being generated
Any suggestions for a new motherboard as looks like I'll have to get one

You still haven't reset the CMOS jumper or pulled the CMOS battery out and put it back in again. It is not the same as a bios update.
Yes I have just forgot to mention it
Tried that when I removed the motherboard first time around removed the battery for Around 15 mins whilst I was taking it out
Also updated the bios to latest version later on

As well as trying the factor reset in the bios option's
Then also tried reflashing the bios to the layers version
All of the above have made no difference

It's fine hahah just ordered a replacement motherboard which I really hope fixes the issue
It can't only really be that or the Psu as far as I can see

Re-read back through, have you removed the ram / swapped / re-seated it?
You could also try booting it without ram ( it wont get into bios and should just beep 3 times ) ... nothing ventured!

something else Ive probably not mentioned but tried both my ram sticks one at a time and still had issues
So unless both ram sticks developed the same bizzae fault I doubt they are at fault
Just won't boot without any ram well I'm assuming installed no beeps as there's no speaker on the board

It really sounds like you've tried all you can.
I wonder if its some crazy wierd problem with the serial port or similar putting spurious characters on the input buffer.

Get the board out on your desk/table (or on a box), cpu, ram(just one stick, test the other individually to), gpu (and a display naturally), keyboard and power supply connected only. Use a screwdriver head to jump the pins to power on(keep the case out of the equation).
Work from the basics, barebones, if the problem still exists with the bare minimum (and outside the case) then something is clearly in need of replacement, but you gotta work from the bottom up.

Read through the post on the thread all this has been tried with no difference
Only parts no been changed or run without are psu mobo and CPU as I don't have Spares
Both ram sticks have been tried on there own so unlikely to be them
And motherboard is currently sat on some cardboard our of the case
Last test was with nothing plugged in but a keyboard to get into the bios then removed after
Hence why I ordered a motherboard as that seems. Most likely issue as psu voltages all seem to be near perfect so PSU issue seemed to be less likely
I wouldn't have thought its a CPU pin issue seeing as I've been using the system without issue for 20 month
If the cooler has been installed too tight (or too loosely) and the PC had a knock (or took a ride in a car) it could potentially make a difference. Wouldn't hurt to remove and reseat it, you'll be doing it soon enough with a new board anyway.
