Anyone had any an issue with heavy attack (R2) in AC:V? I do not think it's a controller issue as I can draw and loose arrows with R2 but nothing seems to happen when either pressing or holding down R2 when trying to perform a heavy attack with any weapon. Odd.

Ended up selling mine, I haven't really been able to get back into using a controller anymore, feels like I've lost the touch anytime I pick up a controller.

I haven't played around much with the Cinema and DV settings (apart from turning AI Picture off) but yes that's pretty much what I am using with HDR/PS5. I watched a video the other day on a Youtuber called HDTVTest and it's pretty much identical to the above.

So, did it come today?

No, I paid for next day delivery but for some reason they put it on two day, but they refunded me as my order was in before the 16.00 cut off. So it's coming tomorrow.

No matter what, the cooling appears to be sub optimal, but how that translates to failure rates is anyone's guess. You do need to remember that the benchmarks run at a level of stress that few games can achieve. Back in the day I had overclocked VRAM that would only artifact in 3DMark but would never once cause issues in game.

This looks like it would be relatively straight forward for Sony to resolve in future revisions.

Which proves as so many people always say, never ever buy first generation.

Line some chancers pocket and you can get one tomorrow, otherwise likely to be early to mid December before more appear in the wild, maybe with a pre-Christmas delivery.
Does anyone have a PS5 they can sell me for reasonable money. I will mow your lawn, and the lawns of your ancestors for as many decades as I live, and give you one of each of the organs I have two of (if you are a canibal) or donate my spare organs to a charity (or enemy if you want me to post them in the mail) of your choice. I'll be the servant of your dog, the doom slayer of your enemies and general slave until the PS6 is launched. How else am I going to get a PS5? :D

Mine is a G602 so not exactly old. It also kept on double clicking on a single click so that combined with the battery life was the reason for being replaced.
Then there was a problem with your batteries or mouse if you have to change the batteries every week or so. I do use energizer lithium batteries for the lower weight which also have better battery life, but rechargeable batteries shouldn't make that much of a difference.

The batteries were also about 13 years old, even though they're 2700mah rechargeable, so probably not exactly in their prime :p:D

The Series X should technically be beating the PS5 in every multiplat which it currently isn’t.

You can’t just take TF or CU’s on their own.

The only comparisons I've seen people spreading so far have been about COD, which I'd be tempted to ignore completely as that game is a steaming heap and has weird bugs galore causing unrepeatable framerate dips on PS5.

For those who retort that their console is working, 'what of the memory temperatures', well of course it is. The launch day 360's worked fine until three red lights appeared on the ring and then for a large number of people, it was game over. These temperatures that are being reported will reduce the lifetime of those components. This is standard across all electronics. By how much, we don't know. I can only assume Sony have done extensive testing over the last few year and hopefully have some idea of that.

Arnt ram modules able to run really high temps? So surely at 90c its got some headroom.
Not ideal but nothing to worrie about.

Did Steve say how far off their rated top temp they are? If he didn't even bother to check that then its pretty lazy on his behalf.

I ran into an issue when setting up my PS5. I posted in the other thread but it got lost among the excitement.

I had sound but just a black screen on my LG CX. I had to go into Safe Mode, Set the resolution manually and change the 4K Transfer Rate to be "-1". This got the picture back for me.

I haven't tried setting it back to Auto yet, but from what I've been reading it seems to be an issue with the HDMI cable.

Other than that, I've had the odd crash while in games. I've been playing PS4 and PS5 games with External plugged in, using LAN cable etc. Nothing major.

Just installed sack boy from disc. I must be in the minority but the disc drive wasn’t too loud. Kept spinning though even after the game was installed :p

Once games are installed it's fine, my disc drive went into over drive while installing AC V, I think the white covers make any vibration louder.

Yet hundreds of millions do and the majority never have any issues? We'll see over the coming months/year what the return rate is, if it hits double-digit percentages then we can agree it's a **** show from Sony.
