Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War

Get this, wiped the PS5, redownloaded every game I needed, went last night playing nothing due to this, finally finishes tonight and low and behold, the problem still exists when using the PS5 version. What in the world is going on...
Seems I bought the wrong version of this (not smart delivery, non cross gen), according to the Activison site there should be an upgrade path on MS store, but nothing there they're trying to charge me £64.99 :/
Not being Smart Delivery is a joke tbh, I guess my own fault for not paying attention.
Edit: Seems thats the least of my worries, the game completely crashes my Series X after about 3 minutes every time

I think they removed the upgrade because people like me used it to get the full game for a fiver.

That’s bizarre, I guess all you can do is raise support ticket with Activision.

How the hell on hardcore do you work out who's friendly or not? It only ever seems to drop me in mistake while the spawns are all over and there's indicators and all the models are basically the same brown/green
Tried and failed!
I'm giving up, will just use the PS4 version, hopefully something changes in the future.

Should be able to get a refund from the MS store.

I've not really been following this much but need a shooter to play to scratch the itch - what's it like on PS5?
It's one of the worst CoD games I've played in terms of mechanics, but 120fps is very nice. It was worth the £5 for me.
No you don't, you also don't have an option to prestige, it just happens.
Split screen is totally broken on this, no HUD for the second player and bringing up the scoreboard usually jams it on the screen and crashes the game. Seems a common issue, clearly zero testing in that mode, appalling for a new release. Bar that I'm enjoying the game.
Tried it got refused as I had already played the game, which is odd as ive had a refund in the past when playing < 1 hour of game time.
I find it amusing the game seems to have reviews disabled in the Store, I don't recall this ever being the case before. They know it'd get absolutely hammered.

Normally, quitting game and reopen aolves, but just done that more than half a dozen times, and still doing it.
What is it with ####ing cod games? Tried to use them last couple of years as quick pick and play for short burst games, but the bloody bugs just end up turning me off.

This game is absolute mess.
If it's not randomly turning my console off, it's the slide show bug, getting menu overlays stuck so you have to force quit the game, not tracking anything correctly. The list goes on and on.
I like playing the zombies mode but I'm starting to regret buying this as I still have fun on MW.
