Well it’s later than normal this year but the leaks are starting to happen.

Xclusive Ace put a video up on YouTube but he’s now made he private. The details of the video are as below.

In his video, he reveals the following information on the 2020 game, and says the game will feature Zombies, Campaign, MP, alongside Warzone.

  • 2020 game is in fact set during Cold War era
  • Game is “actually in a good state” with “MP maps almost done.”
  • Campaign is “fully playable state” but not all animations are complete yet
  • He says there will be a new map for Warzone with 2020 game, and says he has seen an “overview of the new Warzone map.”
  • Standard Mini-Map is back, similar to previous Call of Duty games prior to Modern Warfare
  • Even with standard mini-map back, there is also a compass (which was introduced in Modern Warfare)
  • Swimming mechanic returns, and there will be water in MP maps alongside water in the new “Warzone map.”
  • Unlimited sprint is back.
  • No interact doors in regular. Mechanic stays in Warzone.
  • 10 MP maps are apparently developed so far, more probably in works. Treyarch style maps.
    • One map is “very small” and a boat on the Black Sea
    • “Tank” – which is the map that was shown in the leaked gameplay earlier
  • No Specialists, but a Field Upgrade-like feature returning.
  • He says that you get one piece from equipment to choose from.
  • Scorestreaks will return.
  • There is NO Dead Silence in the game at this time. It’s not a perk. He cannot confirm how footstep audio is right now.
  • 150 Health (similar to Black Ops 4) but has auto-heal.
  • Create-A-Class is “unique.” Hybrid between Pick-10 and classic. No Gunsmith.
  • 6v6 is standard player count. There is no Gunfight mode.
  • There is “apparently a mode” in MP that takes place on various sections of the new Warzone map.
  • New Warzone map apparently takes place in Russia.
As always, this information is not fully confirmed as of now.

Some interesting bits in there, I’m glad Warzone will be staying and getting a map for this game that’s a wise choice. No gun smith is a disappointment as I love that in MW.

In BO4 (from the little I played) it really seemed to mess with the feel of what you’re used to with CoD for me, weapons would take a lot longer to kill but you still had insta death sniper rifles so it was really frustrating to play.

But I bounced from the game hard the December after launch when they added their awful black market system, it might have become the norm for players as they got used to it.

I also saw from the leaked footage that health bars are back...FFS

Points to a november 13th release for the PS5. I doubt they'd release it before the PS5 comes out with Sony having the exclusivity. Wouldn't go down well with Sony if Xbox series X owners were playing the next gen version before Playstation 5 owners.

Also it's a bit shady that you have to pay extra for a version for next gen just because it includes the PS4 version as well. Why can't there just be a PS5 version on its own like with the standard PS4 version? I'll have to keep an eye out. Only buy the full game for the campaign, warzone is free.

there will obviously be a stand-alone version for PS5, they’re also raising the base price of games, so it will be £10 more for next gen games. Sucks.

I’m not sure how i feel about it.

I like how it plays, but the jump/drop shorting and the quick scoping in sat here asking myself “do I see myself playing this for 12 months?” And at the minute I’m thinking “No, I don’t” so I’m kind of on the fence. It’s weird.

Played MW2019 tonight after the beta and that game is head and shoulders about Cold War.

Played some more this morning and I actually think I hate it.

I don’t know if it’s the fact I am so used to my elite controller that playing on my DS4 is just plain wrong but I can’t get used to this at all.

Looks like I’m going to transition over to zombies this year. Getting real tired of the absolute sweat fest MP has turned into.

Warzone is borderline unplayable because of it and the hackers, standard MP is ruined the only place I can really enjoy myself on MW2019 is Ground War and that’s been replaced with a rubbish version in Cold War. Oh well, at least MW will still be popular

Didn't they all love MW2019? And look how that turned out! One of the most hated CODs ever.

What? No, people love/like MW a lot. I think it’s great.

Yes I know there’s lots of glitches and bugs and the current game is broken, but the polish on the game is incredible.it’s the best looking and sounding (as far as guns go) CoD to date.

Don’t let them influence your decision old chap!

It’s not setting the world alight but this is what we expect now unfortunately.

From playing the alpha I just don’t like it, I’ll try the beta today and in my xbox next week but I’m just not feeling it. It’s a step down from MW in every department. 6v6 doesn’t do it for me now and I love MW ground war it’s fantastic, and Cold War doesn’t have that mode. I can get my CoD fill from playing MW2019 and jumping into Warzone to get the Cold War thing. Only thing I might buy it for is the zombies, seems like a good place to start. MP looks utter trash.

not Treyarchs fault though, they’ve done the best they can considering the circumstances.

A lot of people hate MW as well. I didn't particularly hare it but it had issues that stopped me from playing it. Mainly the crap maps and the super loud footsteps. But I agree that it looks and sounds superb.

The one thing that struck me yesterday whilst hanging out on a stream when the host was talking about SBMM (and why I think a lot of people hate MW) is that people who have gotten older (who were great at the games years ago) and still play think they have a god given right to still be good now, yet get smacked by people like they were years ago, could be completely wrong on it, but it could be nonsense lol. JackFrags was also talking about when asked if he could get a nuke, said he possibly could have years ago, but not now. The skill level of players has just increased massively, the whole community is just a whole lot better at the game now.

Played a few matches of the beta, was quite a bit more enjoyable, aiming with a DS4 though compared to my Xbox controller feels horrible, looking forward to trying it on Xbox next week.

i did have a more enjoyable experience today though and was actually able to do well. I’m still not sure how much I’ll actually play the base game though as 6v6 MP just doesn’t float my boat anymore.
