In a few mins you will have a chance to grab a 6800 or 3060Ti

I impulse bought the Zotac 3060 ti OC for £469 after missing out on the 6800, but in hindsight doesn't seem like it's worth an extra £70 in cost for an extra 35mhz in clock speed & maybe 2 extra fps (compared with non-OC version). Any similar thoughts?

Like all Nvidia really. The FE in this series is pretty good, especially when you compare aftermarket prices atm you're into considering the next FE card up, but it's just getting one. It's a case ofc roll the dice and get lucky or pay a premium this side of Xmas or even January to have one so it's more what you are willing to spend.

A lot have got lucky with founders editions lately I think outside of the drops you just have to be quick

What sort of performance hit does the 6800 take compared to the 6800XT or the 3080?

Any chance of stock going live on the website during the night for those of us stuck on nightshift for weeks at a time ;)

I grabbed a base Zotac, the Techpower up review says it's thermally limited (but performs same as the reference) so I couldn't see the benefit in paying £50 extra for a 2% OC when the OC version uses the same cooler.
The FE card seeems to be, by far the best of the twin fan cards, however Nvidia overengineered the cooler to get positive reviews and hide the 8nm monster beneath.

You can use this to give you a rough idea. There is a hit, but considering the availability of the other two cards (bugger all), I'd say the 6800 isn't a bad choice if you can get one.

1080p - 6800 is ~4% slower than the 3080 and 9% slower than the 6800 XT (Hardware unboxed 18 game average)
1440p - 6800 is ~7% slower than the 3080 and 9% slower than the 6800 XT (Hardware unboxed 18 game average)
4k - 6800 is ~10% slower than the 6800 XT and ~14% slower than the 3080. (Hardware unboxed 18 game average)

Order status changed to:

Order received - not yet shipped

Does that mean I might be one of the lucky ones?

Yeah you should be good to go! just cause of the backlog in shipping many users seeing this status.

Well last night I ordered an inno3D model got the same message. But then checked my order history later to find "No Recent Orders", but this late in the game you might be good to go!
